Chapter 3: Uncertainty

When you woke up, you were in a familiar place. It was the port mafia infirmary.

Since you knew where the exit was you could leave. However, you knew it was Mori who helped you since you were here, and you were dying to meet him again. You decided to wait. About an hour later, he came into the room.

You smiled at him and he smiled at you. You heart was pounding fast and you were so happy to see him again.

-How are you feeling, (y/n)?

-I feeling fine, thanks!

-You really surprised me, you know? I see a person sleeping on the ground, and it was you!

-I'm also rather surprised to wake up here, but i guess it's better than to wake up on the concrete.

-Haha, yes i can imagine that! Do you know why you fainted?

You explained it to him and he listened carefully.

-You should be careful, here take these painkillers. If you're aware that you can faint over the pain, you shouldn't go out without these.

-You're right, thanks.

You really loved the way he took care of you, although it was because he used to be a doctor and knew how to treat his patient.

-Fainting in the middle of the street was really dangerous... I'm glad you're okay (y/n)...

He suddenly touched your cheek with the back of his hand, caressing it. He was so close you could smell him, and he smelled nice. You went all red and didn't know how to react, so you just looked at the ground. You wondered if this was okay. Wasn't he a bit old for you? Or was the fact that he's so mature that attracts you? He stopped and asked you

-Do you want to see the view from the window of a mafia boss's desk?

-um...to... see the ... view?

-The view, yes!

You really wanted to go, and see what his desks looks like, but you remembered telling yourself to stay away from the port mafia.

-...

-Aw you don't want to?

-Um... Is it far?

-No, it's in this building! We just have to go up.

-Oh, okay, why not then.

You two were now in Mori's office. The place was huge and since it was the evening and no light was lit, it was also fairly dark, which gave an agreeable and lazy atmosphere to the room. The view was indeed rather amazing. It was worth following Mori.

You looked at the books in the library and then you sat on on of the couch to see how comfy it was. It seems like seeing you exited over small things like that made Mori chuckle.

He sat next to you, he sat so close that your hip was touching his hip.

All red again, you thought at that moment that maybe he didn't only brought you here for the view. You were still wondering if being this close to him was okay.

He approached his face to yours. He gently touched your shoulder and he was going to kiss you.

Impulsively, you moved back. It's not like you were completely against the idea, but you were still too unsure about the whole situation. You didn't have much experience on romance and things were going a bit fast for you.

He looked at you with a blank face, deep in thoughts. You were at loss for words. You didn't know what to do. After a few seconds, you got up from the couch.

-Um...! It's kind of late maybe i'll go-

-(y/n), it's okay, we can take it slow.

He started smiling warmly again.

Suddenly, the door opened, and a red-headed man, that was even smaller than you, with a hat opened the door, and bowed at Mori.

-Boss.

-What is it, Chuuya-kun?

-We managed to capture Lucy Montgomery. She said she won't use her ability for the port mafia.

-Get rid of her.

You suddenly looked at Mori:

-Huh? Lucy he said? Wait!

-What is it, (y/n)?

-I know that girl. What do you mean by get rid of her?

You felt the tension in the air. You weren't talking to the friendly doctor anymore, you were talking to the mafia boss.

-Chuuya-kun, change of plan, please keep Montgomery safe here, and leave.

-Yes boss.

The petit mafia left.

Mori got up, and locked the door. Then he guided you with his hand on your back, back to the couch

-(Y/n), let's talk a bit.

-Are you going to hurt Lucy? She's my  friend...

-Montgomery has a lot of potential but seems too stubborn to join to mafia. My initial orders were not to hurt her and convince her to join the port mafia, so she's fine... for now.

-Of course she doesn't want to join the mafia! It's too dangerous!

-I was planning on killing her if she didn't want to join. If she can't help the port mafia, then i needed to at least make sure she wasn't a threat for us.

-H-huh? L-Lucy... But... She didn't do anything wrong! That's so... unfair!

He suddenly kissed you. This time, he did it quickly enough so you couldn't dodge it. His lips were warm and felt good, but you were shocked and completly lost, and pushed him away.

You looked at him, completely staggered.

-You are really adorable after all.

You suddenly remembered that you could move and jumped out of the couch again. You also realized that you couldn't run away because Mori locked the door just before. He looked like he was enjoying himself.

-(y/n), i'll let your friend go, but you have to be nice to me.

-N-nice...?

-Yes, nice! If you do what i ask of you, everything will be fine. Don't worry, i'm not planning on hurting you! I only want you to feel good.

He came slowly near you. Each time he took a step forwad, you took a step backward.
