It was supposed to be a regular day. I went to gymnastics in the car with my friend Olivia. We have been best friends for as long as I can remember. When we got there my coach Mary had us work on aerials. Olivia had gotten hers perfectly but I was still struggling. The thought of being in the air sideways just kind of freaked me out. I know it shouldn't because I'm a gymnast but what can you say. "Annie you are getting enough height you are just putting your hands down to early. If you didn't put your hands down it would be perfect," Mary told me while I plastered a bright smile on my face. Inside I was really frustrated and kind of sad but outside I couldn't show it. Everyone knows me as the bright, never upset girl and I kind of want to keep that reputation. It's a good reputation. I've never had a good reputation. "Okay, I'll try again." I went to the end of the floor and started running. I got to the mat and hurtled up.I did the aerial! But I didn't landed. I fell flat on my face on the mat. But I just got right back up and dusted off. Because that's what gymnasts do. They lived to fall on their faces.that's one of the things I love about gymnastics. You learn to know your limits, but you also learn to know your infinities. I like infinities. I like how some infinities are bigger than others. But most of all I like how infinities are infinite. Just makes me remember how I can do anything. Makes me remember how no matter how hard I try I can never really fail, because no one can ever really fail.you just messed up. Failing is when you don't get another chance. And everyone gets another chance.
