George woke up pretty much the same as usual, in his small royal blue bedroom, birds singing their tune and the clock ticking the day away. He sighed. He often wished that he could wake up without the normalcy of his life. "Nothing exciting ever happens in my life" he groaned. He took a minute to stretch before getting up and heading to the bathroom. He brushed his teeth and hair before heading back to his room to change into his outfit for the day. He flicked by all the coloured hoodies he owned; he had every colour of the rainbow, from what he could see. Finally he chose a white one with grey drawstrings dangling from it along with a pair of black joggers and a pair of converse. "Agh shit, nearly forgot my pills!"
Careful not to draw too much attention to himself in the crowded street of Alphas, he walked quickly along the street to the corner shop to start his shift, his scent covered by the suppressants. It was because he was an Omega that he needed to take them. If he didn't, Alphas would try to claim him so he would be their mate. 'Not gonna happen' I thought as he grit his teeth. Walking by a group of Alphas he stuffed his nose into the neck of his hoodie, the smell was unbearable. When he got in to the shop he put on his name tag and waited for the first customers of the day, taking his place behind the till.
20 minutes into his shift bell above the door rang announcing the entrance of the first customers. George didn't bother looking up, he knew it was probably some Beta looking for their breakfast, or an Omega like him that came in for their grocery shopping. It would never be an Elite or even a Normal Alpha. Even if it was they were probably only in to criticise the shop or something like that. He scoffed at his own thoughts. Who ever heard of a nice Alpha. Well except for Skeppy, his best friends mate.
His mind wandered to The Hunt, an annual event that all Omegas that were of age had to attend. He growled at the thought. It was his first year and he wasn't ready to carry a snobby Alphas pups, or even worse an Elite Alphas. All those Alphas just claiming an Omega as their property and plaything, paying no care to their wishes... 'Well back to my shift'.
After his shift ended at midday, he picked up a pre-made sandwich for his lunch. Well, breakfast. Just plain old ham and cheese. Nothing special. He hurriedly ran to the woods to his secret meeting place, then running off deeper into the dense pines towards the Northern border. Once he was sure he was at the right place he whistled a quick tune before a charcoal black and grey patterned wolf jumped out of the undergrowth on his right, and a light cocoa on his left. "Hey Sapnap, hey Karl" he said, a smile tugging at the edges of his lips. "So you found your way then?" The cocoa one said.
"Of course he did nimrod he's here isn't he?" Sapnap smirked. Karl just growled in response, hackles raised. "Ok, ok I'm here now chill out" George snickered. The two acted like children, it was obvious that they were meant for each other. George knew that both Beta males were close, he didn't understand why they hadn't mated yet. He was brought back to the conversation when a slightly annoyed Karl piped up addressing George, "So George the reason we told you to meet us here is that we have a friend that can help you prepare for The Hunt" George was near bouncing with excitement. "Where are they?" He asked eagerly. "Calm down George or you'll scare her off" laughed Sapnap. At that moment a lean peachy blonde wolf with piercing but kind eyes entered the clearing.
"Hi George, how are you?" she said in a strong accent, German?
"George, this is Niki, it's her second year running because she managed to outrun the only alpha chasing her" Sapnap said. George sighed. He didn't like asking for help but if it meant he wouldn't get caught his first year running then he would take whatever help he could get.
After the intense training session that Tommy and Tubbo, another pair of Betas joined in on, George walked home exhausted before plopping down lazily on his bed, the slight but noticeable scent of peppermint filling his nostrils. "Are you just gonna sit out there or are you coming in?" He asked an apparently empty room, but a second later a slightly shorter brunette woman came in to ask how his day was. "No mum, the Alphas didn't bother me today" he said tiredly. She blushed pink, her pale skin doing absolutely nothing to conceal it before she left the room, the door clicking shut behind her.
