Broken Jars

My name is Johnathon, but right now people call me Bless. The government has collapsed. War is happening. World War III. The United States had pushed the people to far. All civilians are fighting back. I have lost my wife and my son is missing now too. He left overnight to go fight. There is a war between the governments and civilians. But that's not where the story begins. It all started about 4 weeks ago.

"Johnathon!" Jill said harshly, but gentle.

"Dad, help! It's Caleb!" Liam sounded uneasy.

"What?!" I was woried and startled.

"Dad, he's gone! He climbed through the window!" Liam was still upset

"What? Why? Where did he go?" I had so many questions and I wanted answers.

"He left this note, dear," Jill said trying to calm me down. The note reads -

Hey. I am leaving. Don't try to find me. I am going to join the upfighting. We are going to get back the rights we deserve. We are going to take out the government from the core. Kill the president and the vice president. It is the only way to get a point across. Those men are bad people. They are going to destroy what is written in our constitution. Chances are I will die, but as long as we win, you will be safe. I love you guys. Please, never forgive me.

You may be wondering what is going on, so let me fill you in a bit. The government had taken away people's right to be out during nightfall. It was meant to protect people, but if you weren't inside by moonrise, you were shot. It wasn't very smart, because one night after this was passed, an internet club formed called "The UpFighters." They felt that this was against what our country was formed on. I'm going to get back to the story.

Jill is crying now. Liam doesn't know what to do. He adored his brother. Caleb was his role model. He looked up to him and Caleb always had good advice. He was a wise kid, but this was one of the dumbest things he has ever done.
