Hoseok sat there in the bed beside So-Yi, his hand rubbing gentle circles on the firm stomach. She relaxed, leaning back against the headboard with a pillow supporting her legs.
"Are you okay?" Hoseok whispered softly, determined to not make too much noise and disturb the relaxing atmosphere.
"My entire body feels like it's fighting against me." She spoke softly, looking over at him with tired eyes. "And I don't think I've slept properly in the last few weeks."
"I can see if Seokjin or Jungkook can help with the pain and sleep?" Hoseok went to get up, his hand leaving her stomach. Her eyes widened in protest and she reached out weakly to grab him. "Okay, I won't." Hoseok got back into the bed beside her and she shifted slightly to move closer to him. He sighed and looked down at her, looking at the pale and sweaty skin, looking at how it seemed to cause her pain to even look up towards him. He wished there was something he could do to help.
"It's cold." She whispered softly. "Could you-" Hoseok already knew what he needed to do and grabbed the blanket and the fluffy throw from the bottom of the bed and pulled it up around them both, kissing her forehead gently. "Thank you." She smiled softly. Hoseok continued with the gentle belly rubs, he could feel the unborn child under the skin moving about.
"Let me know if they wriggle about too much and cause you pain, I'll get Yoongi to bring some painkillers up with your food." Hoseok whispered, and So Yi nodded at this.
"Thank you." She whispered, closing her eyes and settling back. Her entire body ached, and she couldn't deny that when the unborn child kicked her in any of her internal organs, it hurt. But she knew that this was the norm for pregnancy. She knew what she was getting into when she and Hoseok had decided to concieve a child. But her last visit to see Seokjin and Jungkook had her worried. They hadn't sugarcoated anything.
So-Yi sat in her PJ's, her shirt rolled up so Seokjin could prod and poke at her stomach. "You're aware of your current state aren't you?" He asked quietly, So-Yi nodded. "And you're aware of the most likely outcome of what happens if you carry this child to term aren't you?"
"I'm aware, but it's too late to back out now." She spoke softly. "Do you think Hoseok knows?"
"There's a part of him that knows." Jungkook commented softly, analysing the blood sample he took from her. "He just refuses to accept it. You're not the only one who can feel yourself getting weaker and weaker, we all feel it."
"Well it's a good job I don't need to fight anymore then." She laughed before wincing.
"You have a higher chance of the children surviving doing the stuff you're doing now though." Seokjin smiled. "Don't over exert yourself, and Jungkook and I can make you some substitutes for food that will keep you going, so you don't have to worry about keeping food down." So-Yi nodded, once Seokjin had stepped away she pulled her shirt down and got out of bed.
"Thank you." She smiled kindly at the two. "Just to go over the percentages, what's the chances of me getting through this with no issues?"
"Around 10%." Jungkook admitted sadly.
"And the fetus?"
"Basically 100% regardless of what happens. It has your power." Seokojin commented. So-Yi smiled sadly at that, holding her stomach gently.
"At least the child will have all of you there, if I don't make it." She looked up at the two, tears shining in her eyes before she had to reach for the sick bucket and the few bites of apple she bit into earlier came back up.
