It was like any other day, school, bullies, Brandon being his typical jerk self. Yet something seemed different to me, though I couldn't quite pinpoint what was off.
Every morning, my alarm clock goes off at 4, annoyed, I then slam my fist on the snooze button. After that, I sluggishly get out of bed, followed by a zombie like shuffle towards the bathroom to shower. Once I'm dried off, it's time to pick an outfit. Today, I decided on wearing a black cave creep dress, my favorite burgundy and black skull & crossbone cardigan, a cute pair of cat skull garter tights, and my favorite pair of bat wing boots. All dressed, I usually head to my bathroom again to do my hair and makeup. Stating with my hair, I part it in two so I can braid each half. Once braided, my hair falls down to the bottom of my ribcage. For makeup, I do a simple cat eye liner with a smokey coal black eyeshadow. After that, I take my liquid liner and make spider webs at the edge of my cat eye liner. Before I leave the bathroom, I put a little black bat pin in my hair. When I'm all ready to go, I grab my coffin creeper backpack and head out the door.
Walking out the front door, I head towards the gate. My bike, chained near the gate, I unlock it and hop on. Taking my bike, I race down the sidewalk towards Jenna's house. I meet up with her every morning, leave my bike at her house, and carpool to school. Before leaving, we hung out for a bit. I did get there around 6 am, school didn't start until 8. While we waited to leave and head to school, we played some games in the club house. The club house is kinda like a mini house outside her house, it has 3 rooms and a bathroom. The room that we usually hang out in has 2 different gaming consoles and about 120 games. There's also Jenna's flatscreen tv, a little bass system, and three bean bag chairs because her little brother joins us sometimes.
After playing video games for an hour, we grabbed our bags and hopped into ajenna's car. When the bell rang, Jenna and I headed to 1st period, with coffee in hands. It wasn't unusual for us to be a little late to class. Though something was still picking at the back of my mind, today still felt off somehow. Unable to pinpoint what it was that was off, I put it into the back of my mind and tried to focus on today's lecture. It felt like time was going incredibly slow. What had felt like hours of lecturing was only 30 minutes. I looked over to see if Jenna was as bored as I was. Of course, she was head first in her backpack, taking a nap.
The lunchbell rings, startling Jenna awake. We both grab our bags and head to our lockers to put awake our textbooks. At the lockers, Jenna's boyfriend, ___, walks up and hugs Jenna from behind.
"Any plans tonight after school's out?" He asks
"Why?" I retort
"Tonight there's a football game between us and the jerks from ____." He jokingly answers
"Ah. I'll have to take a raincheck on that. You know sports and I don't get along." I replied "Besides, I have to get caught up on the Biology assignment. You two can have fun for me too though, right?"
"Alright, I'll be sure to take plenty of photos to show you tomorrow." Squeaked Jenna
After lunch Jenna and I went to our seperate classes. The time still moving incredibly slow today. I was close to taking a nap in English class until Mrs. Blackwood dropped a textbook next to my head on my desk.
