prologue

"You must go, Star, it's not safe," the older wolf urged his sister, blood dripping down his face, probably from the hunters. "I'm not leaving you behind June." Star protested, tears welling in his brown eyes. " I know you don't want to but we will find each other again, sister, okay?" Star nodded. There was very little chance they would. They both knew that. June smiled faintly, pushing the younger wolf away and disappearing into the woods, the smoke swallowing him. Star stared longingly at the smoke before starting to run they knew would be on the run for a long time those hunters were restless. Star knew she wouldn't see June again

Why?

He didn't look back.

AUTHOR NOTE: I know this isn't the best chapter or longest chapter but more will be revealed soon! This chapter doesn't go into much depth but it'll get better as you go :)) Also, I'm not good at this writing thing yet but I'm trying and you'll see my writing improving as you read (hopefully)
