I open the door to my apartment building, rushing in from the cold. It was about half 9 at night, tired from work and freezing from the weather outside I rush up the stairs, when I reach my front door I'm startled as I see my best friends ex boyfriend Jake sitting on the stairs beside my door. His head shoots up from his phone. His bright green eyes landing on mine, he stands from the steps towering me wearing some grey sweats and a white top, how was he not cold I thought to myself. He slides his phone back into his pocket, while keeping his eye fixated on me.
"Hey" he said quietly pushing his hand through his dark brown hair, god he's so hot
"She's not here" I say quickly
"I know...I -"
"You should go" I said cutting him off
"At least let me finish" he said pleadingly
"No, I know why you're here, that thing that nearly happened between us can't happen, doesn't matter how much we want it to, she's my best friend Jake" I say with sad eyes
I look away from him and walk over to my front door as I reach for my keys he speaks and I pause
"I don't want to hurt Maddie, I just can't control myself when it comes to you....I want you so bad" he said placing he hands around my waist pulling me closer to him
I sign gripping the keys in my pocket hardly, having a mental battle with myself.
"Jake I-"but I'm cut off as he swiftly pushes my hair away from my neck, planting his lips on my skin while still holding me tightly against him
He starts with slow soft kisses to sucking different areas of my neck til he settles on an area that makes a small moan escape my lips, he smirks against my skin. He knows how easy it is for me to fall into his trap.
While I was distracted he managed to fish my door keys from my jacket pocket. I notice and go to grab them from his hand, he moves his hand away fast and raises the keys above his head. Smiling down at me playfully.
"GIVE me the keys" I say placing my hands on my hips while giving him the toughest look I could master.
He chuckles "why don't you take them from me" he says waving the keys from side to side
I huff then try to jump and grab the keys from his hold. He just stands there like a lamppost smiling down at me. Me now knowing that's not gonna work I grab a hold of his musclier arm and try to pull it down but he's too strong.I fall to the floor out of breath.
"For f*cks sake" I say standing to my feet while Jake laughs "it's not funny" I say laughing with him "I'm really tired can I just have them" I say as I try to give him my best puppy dog eyes.
"Only if I'm allowed in with you" he says crossing his arms
I cross my arms as well while keeping eye contact after a couple of seconds I give in knowing I'm not gonna win.
Dropping my arms and huffing a "fine"
He smirks finally passing me the keys, I unlock the door, rushing to my room, I sign kicking my shoes off feeling relief in my feet and dropping my bag and coat to the floor.
I turn to exit the room when I bump into Jake, chest to chest I look up to meet his eyes to see his eyes already on me; on my lips.
"When's Maddie back" he speaks concentrating on my lips
I lick my lips before I speak "erm tomorrow night" I say quietly glancing at his lips as he pulls his bottom lip into his mouth.
