"Sweetheart, you wait here. I'm going to quickly change my outfit. When I come back, we can eat." Ignoring Garroth's eyes that were basically screaming 'Don't leave', I pulled my hand out of his grasp and got up. I wasn't going to eat in my wedding dress!

Plus, I wasn't in the mood to hear people whispering about me. I was already upset. Someone feeling this low at their own wedding is nothing but unfair. Who's going to make up for the fact that instead of my husband feeding me our wedding cake, it was his mom that did it? No, nope, this woman is going to murder me one day. Right when I feel like I've found the one for me and started my love story with him, I get blessed with a crazy and jealous mother in law.

I told myself that I could deal with her, that if I could withstand all the dumb ass shit she did before the wedding, I could have my peace and quiet after the wedding. But this is what I'm faced with! She literally stole one of our most romantic moments with Garroth throughout the whole wedding. I'm going crazy! She literally took the fork and plate from Garroth's hands, cut off a piece and stuffed it in my mouth.

And you know what she said? "I should feed her now so she doesn't leave me to starve when I'm old." The amount of fear I had that she would also follow us to the hotel with the excuse, "Let me sleep with you guys so in the future if I go broke and have no place to stay, she'll be used to sleeping next to me." was immaculate.

I could feel myself walking faster and basically stomping my feet on the ground the more I remembered her crap. She took two more big steps and reached the elevator while it was about to close. I stopped the door from closing by putting my hand in front of it.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't surprised when I saw the man inside the elevator. He had a wedding suit on and it looked so much like the one Garroth was wearing. It's not like men have many options when it comes to that... When the man looked me up and down with a weird face expression, I gulped and quickly stepped over to the corner of the elevator. So, I guess me and Garroth aren't the only newlyweds in the hotel.

"Congratulations!" I muttered with a friendly tone. The man looked at me confused.

"Excuse me?"

"I said congratulations. Isn't the suit you're wearing a wedding suit? That's why I wanted to congratulate you." If that isn't a wedding suit I will literally hang myself from the embarrassment.

It was obvious that his mind was elsewhere. He looked down at what he was wearing and raised his eyebrows.

"Ah, right.. yes, it is. Thank you." He looked me up and down once more and spoke with an uncaring expression and tone. "Congratulations to you as well."

I shrugged. "Thank you." If he doesn't care, then I don't either. And here I was, thinking we could hang out as couples throughout our honeymoons and getting excited that we had an opportunity to make new friends.

He sighed and glanced at the buttons of the elevator and pressed the button of the floor he was going to go to. He could've at least asked me which floor I was going to. Like, maybe I'm going to get off before him, but no, it's obvious that he has no manners from the way he speaks.

He suddenly looked at me as if he heard what I was thinking. Wait, I didn't say those things out loud, right? Oh, no. No, no way. I definitely did not. I gave him a small smile just incase.

"Which floor are you going to?" Could I have actually said that out loud? Oh god, that was so rude of me! But if I'd said it out loud I would've known, right? Plus, he doesn't seem like he heard my thoughts, he probably would've been a little pissed if he had. He just seems like he has a problem.

"Ah, um, it should be the 9th floor." I told him and then checked the room's keycard to make sure. "Yes, it's the 9th floor."

Instead of saying anything, he just nodded and crossed his arms. I ignored the guy's existence and dug my fingers into my hair, taking out the bobby pins that were starting to hurt my scalp. I wish I'd gotten my hair straightened before the bun, now it's going to be poofy. I looked at the elevator mirror to see what kind of state my hair was in and my eyes widened. My hair looked horrifying!

"God damn it!" I muttered and started trying to fix my hair. As I was trying to straighten out my hair with my fingers, the frowning groom looked at me and let out a chuckle. So he can laugh, huh? But it's so rude of him to be laughing at me when I'm in a state like this!

"Is something wrong?" I asked him with a kind of annoyance that I hadn't felt in my system in a long time. For some reason, I felt taken back to the times I first met Garroth.

"No.. it's just that- your hair is a little..." he started but couldn't continue because he had to press his lips together to stop himself from laughing. I turned back to the mirror in anger, trying to push my hair down. While doing that, I was also complaining saying, "Why is this elevator moving so slow?"

Suddenly, as I was dealing with my hair, the elevator made a weird noise. You know that noise you hear when a metro is slowing down? It was like a muffled version of that.

"Did we reach the floor?" I said and pinned my hair back with one of the bobby pins. I then looked over at the door.

"I don't think so.." When he furrowed his brows and looked at the elevator ceiling, I could see the concern in his eyes. I looked around trying to figure out what was going on.

"What's going on?" I said, feeling on edge knowing that the elevator door wasn't opening even though the elevator had stopped. Abruptly, the elevator shook with an even louder noise. With the squeak I let out, I grabbed onto the frowning groom's arm without realizing. As the lights of the elevator started turning off one by one, I felt my breath speeding up.

"There's nothing to be afraid of, we're only.. stuck in the elevator." My god! What? How is he so calm? What is he saying!?

"Nothing to be afraid of? What the hell are you talking about!?"

"Trust me, the state of your hair is much scarier than the situation you're in. I'm watching with shock as it gets even more and more poofy." Is this man shitting me? God damn it! I'm spending my first night as Garroth's wife with some guy who also got married on the same day! And he's still busy teasing me about my hair!

"You..." He was so relaxed that it made it hard for me to find the correct words to express my anger, he was literally smirking at me!

"I, what?" he asked, looking like he was enjoying the situation.

I was so pissed that none of the insults that had come to my mind, were coming to my mind and would come to my mind were enough.

"Shut up!" I muttered, pouting. He smirked with satisfaction, crossed his arms and leant back on the elevator wall. Everything that's happened so far just had to be real, didn't it?
