"I never thought it was you." Hindi talaga ako makapaniwala na siya ang papakasalan ko.
"Me either. Matagal na akong pinapareha ni Mom sa iba. Pero ang cute talaga dahil ikaw pala talaga ang ending ko." She laughed cutely. I wonder where's the bad girl Nico?
"You're bound to marry na pala dati pa?" I asked cause she never told me.
"Yes, hindi ko 'yon sineseryoso dahil kaya kong magrebelde para maiwasan ang ganyang gusto ni Mommy. Pero nung naghiwalay tayo. I told her I'll let her controll my life." She looked at me with sad eyes.
I tugged her arms softly and hugged her.
We almost have the same story huh?
"Ako naman matagal na din. Pumayag akong ipakasal nila ako basta hayaan lang nila akong magengineer." I caressed her hair.
She nuzzled my neck. It tickles but I let her do that.
"Ang akala ko talaga ang makikita ko si Anne. Have I ever told you about her?" She shook her head no. "Well she's my ex even before my mother set up a date between us. But she cheated." I laughed.
Napangat ang tingin niya sa'kin. "Really?" I looked at her face. And nodded. "Tanga." Natawa ulit ako sa sinabi niya.
"She never asked anything about me. About anything I feel. I think she just want a guy, and attention. I don't know." I shrugged.
"Mabuti na lang nilandi kita." We laughed when she said that.
"I'm so glad that it was you." Kinuha ko ang kamay niya at hinimas ang singsing doon. Parehas kami ng singsing. Makapal lang ang akin.
"We'll never break this off ha! Final na to." She said. Tumawa naman ako at tumango.
Now, my turn. Inilapit ko ang mukha ko sa leeg niya. Halata ang kiliti niya doon dahil napapaiwas siya at natatawa. Pero tinuloy ko parin.
"Stop na! It tickles! Malakas kiliti ko dyan e!!" She giggled.
Medyo kiniliti ko pa siya pero inalis ko na rin ang muka ko don at ipinatong na lang ang baba sa kanyang balikat.
We looked at each others eyes she looked even more beautiful when the light of the moon reflects on her eyes.
"I love you." She whispered.
"I love you." I whispered too.
