Love Demise

Part 4

A month later, Sunoo has withdrawn from the school as his condition was getting worse.
Jungwon still knew nothing about this, he has been trying to talk to Sunoo and be friends again, but it didn't work.
Jungwon didn't give up, because he wants to be with Sunoo, he loved him.
There was no way he would let Sunoo run away from him.. but little did he know.
Sunoo then blocked Jungwon on all media platforms so he couldn't find him

On the 23rd of December 2021, 4:34pm. Sunoo has passed on..
His family was bawling their eyes out.

It was only after awhile , his sister remembered that Sunoo has prepared something for Jungwon, and has told him to pass it to him.

His sister tried to calm herself down, picks up Sunoo's phone and rings Jungwon.
Jungwon immediately picked up

Jungwon : HYUNG !
Sister : Hi jungwon, this is Sunoo's sister.
Jungwon : oh good evening.
Sister : good evening.
Sister , unstable voice : i.. have some news for you
Jungwon : oh ?
Sister : Sunoo, he..
Jungwon : yes?
Sister : he passed away.. an hour ago.
Jungwon : what ?
Sister : he left something for you, you could come over to our house to collect it, and maybe say goodbye to him.. he said didn't want you to come but i know deep inside, he wants you here.
Jungwon : he's really .. gone?
Sister : I'm afraid so
Jungwon goes silent, blanking out.
Tears rolling down his cheeks as his mind takes in the fact that Sunoo is gone.
After some time, he snaps out of it. Grabs some essentials and hurried over to Sunoo's home.
He was hesitant to press on the doorbell, but he still did it anyways.
Sunoo's mom let him in and led him to Sunoo's room, where a white cloth was laid over him who was laying there, lifeless.
His sister came in and handed Jungwon a bracelet and an envelope.
She gave him a pat on the shoulder and left them to have some time alone.
Closing the door on her way out.

Jungwon : Sunoo hyung...
He tried to hold his tears back
Jungwon placed the bracelet and letter on the bedside table and he carefully lowered the white cloth to have a last look at Sunoo.
The moment he saw Sunoo's he broke down. Kneeled down beside Sunoo's bed and reached for Sunoo's hand, holding it tight.
Jungwon : how can you leave me... did you forget a year ago you promised you would stick with me forever, you broke your promise. How can you do that!
Jungwon cried into Sunoo's hand.
How he wished Sunoo would wake up miraculously and stroke his head, but he knew, that isn't happening.
And so he stared at Sunoo's face as he used Sunoo's hand to pat his own head
Jungwon tried his best to smile as he snuggled into Sunoo's cold palm.

Jungwon : hyung, i like you no i love you, i wished i could turn back time, and be here to see you as you move on, I'll always love you hyung, even though i was nothing to you.
He stood up, leaning close to Sunoo. He caresses his cheek and smiles at him.
Jungwon : you were an amazing hyung, Sunoo hyung.
He hugs the lifeless body imagining it was hugging him back.

He went to the bookshelf and pulled out the book he and Sunoo used to read together.
Sat on the side of the bed as he read their favourite chapter out loud.
His tone was sad. His eyes were uncontrollably tearing up. His voice was shaking.
Once he was done, he looked over to Sunoo
Jungwon : Sunoo hyung, you must have been tired. You fell asleep already and it was your favourite chapter.
He strokes Sunoo's head as he leaves a kiss on Sunoo's cheek.
Jungwon : good night hyung, rest well. I'll see you tomorrow.
He pulls the cloth over his head and gets up.
He returns the book back to the shelf

Jungwon was denying reality, he doesn't want to believe that Sunoo is gone. He rather pretend that Sunoo fell asleep or this was all a dream and that he will be alive tomorrow.

Jungwon took his things and quietly got out of the room.
Looking back at Sunoo as a faint smile creeped onto his face.
He quietly closes the door, greets his parents and takes his leave.
