Lizzy's POV
It should have been perfect. This should be perfect. This is what I have wanted since forever. Well it was close to it, I shrugged. Holding my only clutch bag and the appointment letter like they were my most prized possessions on Earth. I sighed as I walked into the eatery. I placed my order which was really simple. A strawberry ice cream. As I looked into the bowl, this place brought back so many memories, I began to tear up. Jeez Lizz get a hold on yourself, my inner self berated. You're practically states away from your parent's home. It was a state branch of the eatery my boyfriend and I - sorry my ex and I usually came to celebrate whenever we had goodnews to share. I was lactose intolerant but the icecream we bought was tradition. it meant something to him, I meant something to him or so I thought after he left me. Well who wouldn't, I was basically a fool in love. followed his every decision and I didn't put up more of a fight. He was turning me into the woman he wanted to be proud of and when I couldn't be her, he left. After so many years. I looked down at my almost starting to melt ice cream. I picked up a spoon. " To me- I basically lefty my family, in the middle of no where just to run from pitiful stares from people oh yea I also landed a job. It paid just enough". I began scooping it into my mouth as I relive the memories and scroll through my newsfeed. it's odd to think I was over him after almost a year. Well stalking him on Instagram seemed to be my closure. He posted almost everyday as if to spite me. He was married to a doctor. He wanted me to be one. I cant even handle the sight of my own blood. I looked around. This was my chance to show them they were wrong. Mom, Dad, dear ex. I am making a name here. with that, I tuned out everything and attended to my ice cream.

Third person POV
Everyone seemed busy going about their activities except Kent. He was with his idiot bestfriend and he had muttered and cussed for the thousandth time. Eden didn't know when to truly shut up. Eden went on and on about some girl he had wasted a year thinking she was hard to get. He finally slept with her and now he has to listen to all the gory details he was pouring out. "Alright Eden, she wasn't worth it" He deadpanned. "Kenty I love you too much. You just need to get laid" Eden chucked. "I'm going to get the pie, you want anything bro?" Kent asked as he stood up. "No bro" "ok". "By the way did I tell you how she acted expensive? she was a gold digger the whole time dude". Kent rolled his eyes and bumped into a thin frame. He was looking into the most honey set coloured pairs of eyes he'd ever seen. "I'm so sorry" He instantly grew annoyed and practically shoved her. She rushed out in embarrassment. "Women" he muttered "throwing themselves into any rich man's arms the moment they get the chance". He looked down and saw a letter. He opened it and scanned through. it was a letter of appointment not that mattered to him. She was told to bring it along with her when she resumed work on Monday. He shrugged. it was not his problem but he had this feeling to keep the letter. He walked back to Eden. "Let's go bro" " but you didn't get the pie" " it doesn't matter" " Can we wait a little bit? saw this chic enter the bathroom. Dibs on getting her laid" Eden said with a twinkle in his eyes. " I don't care about the your next victim dude, pack up or you're walking home ". " Jeez dude relax... and while at it get laid " They walked over to Kent's sports car and drove off.
