Bad News

Yoongi was engaged to the love of his life Jung Hoseok. Yoongi worked in a school for special needs kids all the students and teachers loved him.

He was always smiling and happy and the softest most kind-hearted person around. One of the many reasons Hoseok was drawn to him in the first place.

Hoseok was a soldier, a well respected one. One of the few openly gay soldiers of his rank.

They met by chance, Yoongi was taking a course overseas on social care while Hoseok was deployed just a few miles away.

Yoongi decided to go out for a walk to get some fresh air and explore.

He ended up falling and breaking his ankle. Being only able to speak Korean, having no other language skills at the time. He thought no one would hear or understand his shouts for help.

Only they did. Hoseok found him and carried him to the hospital.

Yoongi couldn't stop staring  at his handsome savoir. Hoseok was the same, he was enchanted by the beauty of the boy he was carrying in his arms.

Hoseok ended up visiting Yoongi everyday in the hospital wanting to see the beautiful boy. Yoongi most certainly didn't complain.

When Yoongi has to go back home to Korea Hoseok promised he would find him when he came back and he would take Yoongi on a date.

It took him 8 months but he kept his promise. Yoongi waiting for him the whole time.

Now 3 years later they were engaged.

Hoseok would spend all his time with his gorgeous fiancé while he was at home to the point Yoongi would have to pry him off of him so he could go to work.

Hoseok had been deployed a little over 4 months ago. Yoongi knew Hoseok loved his job and he accepted that they wouldn't always be around each other and he was a sucker for a man in uniform. Hoseok would always make sure to contact him whenever he could and that was enough for him.

Yoongi was in the middle of teaching the class, helping a little girl learn to tie her shoes when there was a knock on the classroom door.

He stood up and walked over to the door seeing the principal standing there looking at him.

"Sir, is everything alright?" He asked the principal who just sighed pulling a small envelope from his jacket and handing it to Yoongi.

Yoongi's breath hitched, a lump forming in his throat. He raise his head to look at the principal.

"please tell me this isn't what I think it is." He pleaded. The man just sadly smiled.

"I'm sorry Yoongi, he was reported as killed in action early this morning."

Yoongi sunk to the floor, tears streaming down his face. He held his head in his knees sobbing. His hand clasped around the envelope he'd been given.

It couldn't be true, Hoseok couldn't be dead. He promised he'd be back. He promised we would get married. He promised.

Yoongi was inconsolable, shaking as he cried his heart out.
