Chapter 18

Flashback: Enchanted Forest - Many Years Ago...

A young Killian was woken up at night as the ship was thrown around by the violent storm outside. They were in the middle of the ocean, "Sister?" Young Killian whispered.

Young Giselle woke up in her bed and she looked at him, "Yes?" She whispered.

"Can you sleep?" Young Killian whispered.

"You just woke me up," She sighed and grabbed her teddy bear before she got out of bed and walked over to his bed, she climbed over him and got under covers, "Bumpy seas brother," Young Giselle said as she laid beside him, closing her eyes as they held hands.

Young Killian was watching a lantern that was lit, he squeezed his sister's hand as he breathed heavily. Young Giselle shuffled closer wrapping an arm around him, "I'm here, big brother," Young Giselle whispered before a gust of wind blew the lantern out.

Young Killian bolted upright in bed, scared, "Father! Father!" Young Killian yelled.

Young Giselle sat up in the bed and hugged her teddy, "Daddy!" She called out as she rubbed her eyes.

Young Liam woke up, "Ugh..." He groaned and turned over, looking at his younger siblings.

Brennan walked into the cabin calmly, "It's alright son, dear. I'm here," He used a match to relight the lantern, "See? There's nothing to be afraid of," Brennan took a seat next to Killian's bed and looked at Giselle, "Now, sweetheart what have I told you?" Brennan asked.

"Uh... Not to let the shadows scare me," Young Giselle said.

"That and not to scare your brother, you may be the youngest but you keep your brothers together," Brennan said.

"I didn't scare him, daddy," She looked at him, "The night did, I was trying to calm big brother down," Young Giselle said.
