"Sara...
Sara!
Storms are brewing in your eyes...
Sara...
Sara!
No time is a good time for goodbyes..."

"Daddy? Where are we going?" A little girl asked over the song.

It was her and her father's favorite song to listen to. Especially on car rides.

"For a ride. Just you and me." Her father replied, ruffling her hair with a hand.

"Why can't mommy come?" She asked.

"Mommy didn't want to join us. But that's okay." He answered, "You and I can run this planet together; without your mother."

"Okay!" The little girl asked.

Being around the age of five at the time, she had no idea what her father was talking about or what plans he had in place.

Sirens grew close to their vehicle. The girl looked out the back window of her father's old, crimson pickup truck. She spotted a squadron of police cars.

Her father eyed them through his rear-view mirror, muttering something under his breath.

"Sara." He spoke.

His daughter lifted her little head to look up at her father. Her big, brown eyes - that were eerily similar to his own - were filled with curiosity and questions.

"I'm going to drop you off here." He continued, slowing behind a large piece of shrubbery.

"Why?"

"Some bad people want to upset our fun journey. I need to fix some things before we can continue." He hopped out of the driver's seat and walked around to her side.

Helping her out and onto the dirt flooring of the forest, he continued, "I'll come and get you when the time is right, okay?"

"Okay." His daughter hugged him and he patted her back in return, eyeing the forest for any police.

"Be good." He told her, getting back into his side of the truck, "I'll come back for you later, Sara."

And with that, he drove off, leaving her there.

It wasn't long before the police came through the forest. The girl was found and taken back to her home and mother in Massachusetts. Her mother looked sad, but for a reason the girl could not quite comprehend.
