Lu Shen walked around the streets, busting himself observing the people that were going to and fro as they did their own work. Looking at a nearby restaurant, he couldn't think of anything and went inside. He stared at the see through glass beside him while waiting for what he ordered to come.

His gaze was complex, just like his mood this past few weeks. Shifting his eyes into his slightly bulging stomach, he didn't know if he could call it a blessing or not. With a sigh, he lay his head onto the cream coloured table in front using his hands as a pillow.

He closed his eyes with pursed lips, getting himself into the moment, not wanting his situation to bother him. Recently, he had just found out that he was pregnant with his little wife's child and it wasnt wrong to say that he thought of aborting it at first. But reason, as well as his love for his person won over his reckless thoughts.

Deciding for the child to live wasn't actually hard for him, and instead eased his mentality a lot. For the sake of love and rationality, he kept the child even if it felt strange. Previously, he couldn't accept that he was actually impregnated by his wife instead of the opposite and neither could he accept that he had to bear through this alone.

But just who told him that his lover had to be a protagonist in a plot that was too broken not even the name of the male lead was listed much less his home and status?

After sighing for the nth time in regret filled with complex feelings, he opened his eyes and saw a waiter holding his food and drink come over. When the food was placed on his table, he thanked the waiter out politeness. The food tasted mellow, but just fine, not overly good nor bad.

He tilted the glass of grape juice on his hand and took a light sip, then slowly swirled the glass on his hand. Ever since the first world, long before he came into this mission world, he had already developed this habit unconsciously and he didn't plan to conceal it at all. Since this habit not only made it easier for his amnesiac lover to recognize him from the crowd but also distinguish him from what's real or fake.

His heart felt warm when he thought of their past lives, but when he snapped back into reality, he felt irritable and sour at the probability that his wife might've embraced someone else behind his back when he was still out of sight.

With an ugly face he stood up from his position, making the chair he sat on produce a screeching sound as the metal scraped onto the floor. Many people turned their attention to him in monetary alarm and his face turned even darker. He smashed the glass on his hand onto the floor and screamed for the others to look away.

In anger, he stomped his feet as he exited the restaurant after smashing the bill into the counter in a grumpy mood.
