You jumped out of your car and bounced up and down with excitement. You were moments away from making it to the queue for Olly’s concert tonight after getting tickets on eBay. Excited was an understatement. You and your best friend said goodbye to your parents before running to the queue. It was pretty long but you didn’t care. You arrived in plenty of time, so it’s not like you were going to miss anything.
“I can’t believe we’re here!” squealed your best mate.
“It’s like a dream come true!” you sighed with happiness.
You were such a big Olly fan and he has influenced your life so much. The following hour consisted of speaking to other members of the Murs Army and singing just about every Olly song. All of a sudden, the queue went wild as Olly passed with his security. He smiled and waved to everyone he passed and blew a kiss to a few people. You were one of the lucky ones.
"OH MY GOD!” your best friend squeaked. “HE TOTALLY BLEW YOU A KISS!”
You were absolutely stunned. Your idol made eye contact with you and blew you a kiss. You sheepishly pretended to catch the kiss and put it in your pocket before shaking like mad after feeling so overwhelmed. When you finally reached the front of the queue to show your tickets, you were asked to step to the side. You began to worry. What could be wrong?
“Miss, do you realise that these are fraud tickets?” said the security guard.
Your heart sank.
“N-no, they can’t be. I… I bought them off eBay, the buyer said they were legit, look, I have the email on my phone!”
You began to panic.
“Sorry. These are definitely not real tickets.”
“Please, please help me. I don’t mind if I don’t have a seat, I’ve been dreaming of this day for years. Can’t you do something?”
“Sorry.”
You began to choke up.
“No, no, no, please. You don’t understand. Olly is my idol. He’s changed my life and he helps me through some difficult times. It’s my dream to be able to see him live. I would give my arm, my leg, even a kidney just to see him live. To be in the same place as him.”
You began to breakdown crying.
“I love him.” You whispered as you sobbed into your hands.
“I love you, too.”
You turned around to see Olly standing there. His hands in his pockets and his face showing total sympathy for you. You were shell shocked. You ran to him and hugged him and he hugged you tight.
“Hey babe,” he smiled.
Tears were running down her cheek.
“Hey, hey, hey. No crying,” he said in a hushed tone as he caressed your tears away with your thumb.
“What seems to be the problem, mate?” Olly asked the security.
“This young lady and her friend were sold fraud tickets over eBay.”
“What? That’s awful! Let me sort this out. You two, come with me.” Olly led you both back stage and into his dressing room. The rest of the queue watched in silence and envy.
“It’s so wrong that someone did that to you both. So, as a sorry present for you being ripped off, I’ve got two Backstage Passes and VIP tickets which were going to go to waste anyway, so you can have them! You’ll be able to watch the concert from your own private box and then come to the after party with me. Hope that’s okay?”
“Oh... my God! Wow! That’s more than okay! Thank you so much!” You hugged Olly again and he held you tight.
“Anything for my biggest fan,” he smiled.
