Chapter 5 ~ First Date

Denki offered to pick you up and bring you to Dave and Busters, so you accepted and are currently waiting outside.

Denki honks his car horn and comes to an abrupt stop.

"Hey, cutie! Hop in!" He pats the seat next to him with a radiating smile.

"Hi, Denki!" You get up and yell in the door that you were leaving to Dave and Busters. After you were done, you open Denki's car door and buckle in.

"You ready to go?" He looks at you, blushing, but you don't know why.

"Yeah, I'm ready, you have a nice car by the way!" You say to him smiling, then before he presses the gas he kisses your cheek they turn a light tint of pink. That must've been why he was blushing. You were silent until Denki turned on the radio and your favorite song was playing. (Sorry if you don't like the song "Electric Love" but this is for the sake of Pikachu :))

You begin to sing, forgetting Denki was there since he's been so silent.

"And all I need is to be struck by your electric love! Ooh~, Baby, your electric love~" You sang, hitting every note perfectly. (omg I'm looking back at this and big cringe lmao) Denki was a hot mess right then, blushing crazily. You look over at him, then you turned as red as the stoplight you were stuck at

"I-I'm sorry if my voice is obnoxious I-I forgot you were there!" You cover your face with your hands and pretended he wasn't there.

"No, Y/n your voice is beautiful, I like it," Denki says, keeping his eyes in front of him to hide his blush. You were at a stoplight, so there was no point in looking forward really.

"You think so? My dad always told me it was a distraction." You say sitting up and picking at your f/c nail polish.

"Yeah, you sound nice." Denki grabs your hand and continues to drive with one hand, you are both blushing silently, but the music makes it not too awkward. You continue singing the song and Denki smiles at your singing. Keeping his eyes on the road though. Y'all don't wanna die yet, do you?

When you arrive after a few more songs, Denki doesn't let go of your hand. He doesn't want to. Neither did you. But when you both see Mina running up though you both pull your hands away and get out.

"Hey, sis! How are ya doing?" She says running up to you and hugging you. Then she goes up to Denki and they do some super complicated handshake that must've taken them a lot of practice to perfect, though Denki messed up a bit.

"That looks complicated," You said, wide-eyed. Mina nodded and dragged you off with her, leaving Denki behind.

"Don't think I didn't see you and Denki," Mina said winking at you. Then you remembered there was a car behind Denki's, thinking nothing of it though.

"W-What do you mean? We didn't do anything!" You say, almost falling over. You thought she didn't see that! So much for keeping that a secret.

"I also saw him kiss you. I followed a car assuming it was his since the license plate said 'ELECTRIC4EVA" or something. It was also bright yellow with a yellow-haired teenager in it. So you guys dating now?" Mina said, still tugging you as Denki catches up.

"Well, kind of I guess. I don't know," you reply, looking at Denki behind. He looks like he wasted all his energy walking a few feet from his car.

"When's the wedding- OUCH!" You pinched her arm as hard as you could, making sure she suffered. "Why did you do that?" Mina asked, pouting while rubbing the spot you pinched on her arm.

"Denki and I aren't getting married," I said, looking straight ahead.

"Not yet at least." Denki put his arm on my shoulder winking, and I flinched from the sudden contact.
