Y/N

A few weeks later, I finally decided to name her Y/n since she didn't have a name. She had learned multiple words in English. She didn't talk though. I still thought she was mute.

I lightly shook her up from her sleep. She turned and looked at me. I smiled at her and said, "Time to eat." She got up and sat at the small desk inside the cell. She ate quietly. "I'm gonna get us out of here," I said while I looked around the cell. I was going to protect her even if it killed me.

A few minutes later I was interrupted by a guard coming into my cell and grabbing my arm, slightly dragging me out. I kicked his shin and grabbed Y/N and picked her up. I ran towards the closest exit knocking out every guard on the way there.

We exited the building and ran as far as my feet could take me. Y/N started crying into my shoulder while we ran towards an abandoned building. I rubbed her back soothing her. She calmed down and we walked into the building.

It was an empty building. There was a couch covered in dust and a sink. I laid Y/N down on the couch on top of the jacket I was wearing. She turned over and fell back asleep. I walked over to the sink and turned it on. It worked well enough. The water was drinkable.

I walked up to Y/N sleeping on the couch and sat beside her. She moved and snuggled up to me. I tensed at first but then relaxed into her touch. I put my head back and fell asleep.

I woke up to screaming. I jolted up and looked beside me. Y/N was screaming in her sleep. I rubbed her back and whispered comforting words to her. She jolted upwards and hugged me for comfort.

"Hey... It's okay doll. No one can hurt you here. We're safe." I whispered slightly to her. She hugged me tightly as I felt hot tears against my shirt. I picked her up cradling her in my arms. "Shh... It's ok.." I soothed her and she fell back asleep in my arms.

The next morning I woke up Y/N. She grunted, probably uncomfortable from the couch she slept on.  "We have to go doll. We need to get some food." I said to her. She nodded in understanding. I grabbed her hand with my flesh one. I lead her outside and we walked down the street to the nearest food stand. I saw fruit and bought some. "Come on Y/N. We have to go home now." I said as she smiled at me and we walked back to our new home.
