     As I opened the door, I bumped into my maid, she was carrying a tray of food which she spilled on my face, Are you blind, I had asked and she knelt down pleading, you are fired, I yelled at her and she gasped, I left her on her knees, as I went back to my room to change my outfit.

"In my office now", I told my manager, he followed closely behind me, "Good morning boss" morning, what is the current state of Stone Cooperation, Gwendolyn has refused to adhere to your wants, however, she wants you two to settle things amicably, she pleads to you not to withdraw your shares from her company because if you do it would end in shambles and they would go bankrupt. But Sir, is it necessary you withdraw your shares from the company?, They are doing fine and are getting to the top, Gwen is devasted as we speak, I heard she even left the company to think, Boss, please don't withdraw your share from her company.

Running my hands through my hair, I had become utterly confused, I needed to see my Dad, I ran out of the office with my bag, called my driver to pick me up, leaving for home. I knew I had not spent up to 3hours in the office that morning, but I just had to leave and find the solution to my current problem, I didn't want my Dad to get mad at me, because he is the real owner of the company and he would love to see the company grow in the hands of his first daughter.

         On getting home, I saw 3 big cars in the compound, what is the occasion, I totally have no idea, I slowly opened the door and suddenly I became nervous, we had visitors, to my greatest surprise, I saw Damian's parents!, I wasn't expecting them though I knew my parents and Damian's parents are partners.

Hi Mum, Hi Dad, I said pecking their cheeks greeting the other visitors, "Gwen", Dad called and turned to me pointing at the chair for me to sit, I was still startled, though I didn't know where the conversation was heading.

Dad, is there a problem, my Dad only called me Gwen whenever he had something very important to discuss with me, which made me eager to find out what the discussion was about...

"You will be getting married", he had said jolting me out of my thoughts, "married?", I was still trying to process the whole thing he said, me, get married, how funny.

Dad, are you joking or what, why would I get married now, I'm not ready, I don't even have a fiancee!, I thundered back, Mum kept staring at me like I was some movie, assuring me to calm down and that all would be well, I needed to know what exactly dad was thinking,and how on Earth I would get married without me knowing the person I would be getting married to.

"Who would I be marrying Dad"?, I said amidst tears, It's Damian, the name Damian brought me back from my dream, "what!", Damian, I can't marry Damian, I looked at the faces of his parents, oh!, How stupid of me, this is the exact reason why they are here, why didn't I even notice?

"Why do you want me to marry Damian I blurted out, of all people, he is a Monster!, "Don't you dare call my son a Monster, I looked at the face of his Mother, filled with anger and mixed with Love.

"Baby", I realized at once that, that was my mum, her voice calmed me down a bit. I ran to her arms and asked, Mum, why should I marry Damian, give me a good reason, and I'll marry him for both you and Dad's sake.

"It's because of the company", Mum had said, and my eyes thundered almost popping out of their sockets, I faced my Dad "You knew all along", yes I do baby, I want the best for you and for the company, the only way is to merge without getting bankrupt, please sweetie, do this for me, do this for us, for your Mum and I, I know you don't like Damian, but he his not as bad as it seems, I feel situation made him the way he his.

Gwen, you have to marry him, "okay Dad, I will marry him, just for your sake and the sake of the company, as I saw that I saw a smile form around the lips of both parents, a glint of happiness, they were proud of my decision but what about Damian, would he agree to marry me?, I knew he always wanted me but not as a wife.

I had lunch with them and they stayed till dinner time, they left immediately after dinner, I went to my room thinking about how my life would be with Damian?, Would he love me?, Would I love him?, Would I finally give my virginity to a man I hated so much, those thoughts kept on coming, I drifted to sleep...
