How I Vent

Maybe

Maybe 'I love you' escapes too soon from my smiling lips 

And maybe my excitement is irrational 

When my dancing heart causes my fingertips to tingle 

Upon seeing that you have responded to me —

That you care about me and that I bring comfort to you. 

Maybe my attachment is too hasty. Maybe. 

But I know that this elation revives and warms my soul 

So I give you my permission to haunt my dreams.
