Thousands of years ago there was a great kingdom to the west of Westeros. It was so ahead of other kingdoms in both arms and lifestyle that even old Valyria envied their progress but could do nothing about it . This kingdom was known as Camavor. Since Camavor was very careful of not letting its secrets out into the world. The secrets of metal so strong and powerful it could split mountain in half. The secrets of harvests so big it could fill the bellies of everyone in the kingdom ten times over and there would be a lot left. How everyone in there had luxurious lives even tho there were no servants or maids there to make sure of that. Everyone thought that this kingdom would last for millennia.
And yet.
No one has ever mentioned Camavor in the last 1000 years.
The truth is.
Camavor was heavily dependent on magic. Everything there was. Was done by the use of magic and every Camavoian was a really good magician. Little children of age no more than 3 years have already known how to use magic to heal their injuries. It was so for hundreds of years in Camavor.
But when dragons around the world started to die out, Camavor started to lose its power. You see, the magic of Camavor was infused with souls of its citizens and magical creatures around the world. And since all krakens and unicorns have already passed. Dragons were the last magical creatures that were still around.
Every Camavorian felt a little part of his magic being taken away from them every time a dragon was killed.
The old and foolish ruler of Camavor couldn't realize that without dragons around. Camavor would lose all of its power. He thought that the constant pain he is feeling is just him being old. And dismissed every angry citizen as a lier.
The one who noticed the problem was a young man with a strange gift. The boy was the prince. He killed his father when he was asleep and faked the death to look like he died from being drunk too much. After that the prince became king. Sadly it was too late and most of Camavor was on the verge of death. And so he did what was there to do to save his home.
Before the last dragon fell. He let his black mist surround the kingdom and preserve everything there in the cursed half-life. For that, he believed that in time dragons will return to the world of the living once more. And so will he and his kingdom
