Hey ...

It's about a new girl that doesn't speak to anyone and gets bullied pretty badly D; She'll have a lot of disorders. To anyone who has any of these disorders I don't mean to offend and also please correct me if I am wrong in any of it. I'm not sure if there will be any romance yet but there might be.

Eight forty five in the morning, first day of Year 10, and already school sucked. Big-time.

Leo Hallman sat at the back with his usual group - the jocks, the Barbie dolls, the cheerleaders, and the elitely popular group. Leo himself wasn't elite, he was just there, not someone that everyone knew. But he was still well-known enough for people to clear the hallways when he walked down them, and that kind of respect he enjoyed. He wasn't like some of the others who tortured nerds for fun, but he figured that being a sort-of-popular who was treated as an almost-god - because any type of popular kid was - for scoring a few goals in basketball matches was a lot easier than hiding in his locker every time a school bully walked by.

Perhaps he could "change society". Maybe.

But he really wasn't bothered, and there wasn't much chance that he would, and he was pretty comfortable. So why risk that?

Anyway, the teacher was droning on about a new year and a new start.

"And a new friend," she continued peppily, as if coming back to school after a few weeks on holiday was the best thing that could happen to a teenager. "Clary Smith is a new addition to our class. Say hi, everyone."

Nobody had even noticed that Clary was there. Now she came forward.

She wore a white simple shirt beneath denim dungarees with pink and red buttons forming patterns on the sides of the shorts, and white boots with pink laces. They could barely see her face underneath her curtain of honey-coloured hair, and the only skin he could see was on her arms, due to the white tights she was wearing. It was caramel, and looked flawless, but as it was her arms Leo couldn't really. Even though they couldn't see her facial expression, you could tell immediately that she was seriously shy.

A few people mumbled hi.

"Say hi, Clary!" the teacher beamed.

Clary said nothing.

"Clary? Say hi?" the teacher sounded questioning.

Still Clary said nothing.

"I suppose you're feeling a little bit nervous," she tittered.

There was no response.

"Are you ... feeling okay, Clary?" asked the teacher, looking slightly bewildered.

Clary did not reply.

"Okay. Here's your locker code!" the teacher squealed, going back to the Land-of-Sunbeams voice, in a desperate attempt to change the subject.

Clary took the locker code and went to her seat.

"When ... someone ... gives ... you ... something ... you ... say ... thank ... you," the teacher told her slowly, as if she had special needs.

Clary did not react. They still couldn't see her face.

By now the entire class was trying not to laugh. Leo was impressed. Most people didn't have the bottle to completely ignore the teacher like that, especially not a new girl. She looked like such a nerd too, in her little dungarees, he thought with amusement, looking at her. Several of his friends were laughing outright, but she seemed oblivous to them as well.

For the rest of form, she did not speak or move. As if knowing that she would receive nothing, the teacher did not speak to her.

"Hey. New girl. What's your name?" shouted Brittany Jones. Brittany was the most popular girl in school, with dyed blonde hair and a body which was more plastic than skin. However it wasn't best to voice either of these things. Leo had a precarious position with Brittany, her occasionally talking to him and remembering his name, and he doing everything she asked. As he wasn't that important, she didn't usually ask for much, but when she did he jumped to it. Everyone did.

And when Brittany spoke to you, you jumped up and hurried over.

"NEW GIRL!" yelled Brittany.

Still Clary kept on walking down the hallway.

Brittany stalked off in her stilettos, grabbed Clary's shirt and spun her round. Normally she would have got somehow injured for that, but for her disrespect this morning Leo supposed she got a pardon.

"What," asked Brittany slowly, "is your name?"

Clary looked up at her. It was the first time Leo saw her face. It was entirely natural, no makeup, no nothing.

Still, Clary did not say anything.
