Your POV

I just got off a flight from NYC to Lakeville Minnesota. What am I doing here you might ask. Well I am here for my cousin's wedding. My older cousin is getting married in a few weeks and I'm here to help out. I had managed to get some time off before the next tour start. What do I do for a living ? Well I'm a singer. I've been in a girl group for about ten years now. We have 6 albums out and are working on our next tour. So between rehearsals and helping out Brady let's just hope I didn't take on more than what I can handle.

As I get off the plane I see a tall 6 feet 5 inch brown haired man with sweats and a SnapBack holding a not so well written sign with my name on it. I know who he is from pictures and stories that my cousin constantly talks about. The man that I've secretly have had a crush on for 2 years now, Kevin Hayes. But the only person that knows this information is myself and Brady's fiancé. One drunken girls night made me confessed more than I wanted to but that's a story for another time.

"Um I'm y/n." I say kinda hesitant of this whole situation since I was expecting my cousin to come and welcome me with open arms, but I guess I was wrong. "Hey im Kevin, a good friend of Brady's. He asked me to pick you up. He's a little backed up with some last minute decisions and what not." He states clearly as uncomfortable as I am. "Are you sure you're not planning on murdering me ?" I joke trying to lighten the mood. He smirks to me poorly made joke. "I can promise you I am not trying to kill you, Brady would murder me before I walk into the house if I let anything happen to you." I laughed at this knowing it's true. He helped me with my luggages as we walked to his car.

As the two of us begin the journey to the house we will be staying in for the next month, Kevin decides now is a great time to play a game of 21 questions. "So I have a question for you". As soon as I hear those words leave his mouth I automatically because curious as to where he's planning on going with this conversation. Raising an eyebrow I respond with "Umm... okay shoot"
"Well Youre from NYC right ?" "Yes sir" "and you're Spanish correct?" "Yup 100 percent Dominican" "Alright so how exactly are you related to Brady, a white boy from Minnesota?" I couldn't help but burst out laughing. When you hear it like that you can't help but understand why someone from the outside looking in is slightly confused. "Well if you must know Brady and I aren't really cousin" The 6'5" man behind the wheel quickly looks over not trying to take too much time off the road and looks over waiting for an explanation. "My mom married his uncle so I guess one can say he's my step cousin? If that is even a thing. I'm not sure what to call it. My parents have been married for about 20 years of my 27 years of being in this world. Brady and I although growing up in different states we took turns every summer staying with one another. And thankfully we just never grew apart." I didn't realize I was cheesing so hard talking about my best friend until I looked out the window and saw myself with the side mirror. Looking over at Kevin I see him with a small smile on his face. This is going to be harder than I thought.

"Alright it's my turn... what were your first thought when you saw me at the airport?" "If I'm honest... I thought you were beautiful" I couldn't help but notice the Boston accent coming out the more he spoke. "Wait what ?!" I said with my mouth wide open and jaw dropped in pure shock. "Not what i was expecting but I'll take the compliment thank you, you're not so bad yourself" I say as I send him a horrible wink while trying to be cute. As I failed miserably he starts dying of laughter. "Smooth y/n. I need this car ride to be over with" you say in your head. Lucky enough you look up and you have made it to the mansion that the whole wedding party will be staying in while getting ready for this big event.
