Interview

A/N: forever 21 is a store where they sell mostly women's clothing...enjoy!!

Grace wakes up and groans because once again, she has to go to work. On a Saturday. She usually gets Saturdays off but not today. She walks into the bathroom and puts on her black pencil skirt that goes to her knees and a coral colored blouse. She finds her heels and adds a silver necklace to top it off. She's the manager so her employees wear their everyday clothes. Her assistant manager dresses semi-professional which is fine, she guesses. When she gets to the mall she unlocks the store and looks at her schedule. Three interviews today.
Grace hates interviewing people but since Christine quit a few days ago, there's a job that needs to be filled. Around 1 the first person comes for their interview. She's probably in her late 30s and has no experience at all in retail. She silently curses Christine for quitting because this woman won't stop talking about her cats. Grace tells her that she'll call her but they both know that's not going to happen. The woman leaves and then another woman walks in the room. Hannah Hart. Grace stands up and smiles.
"Hello there. Ms. Hart, correct?"
"Yes. Very nice to meet you." Hannah extends her hand to shake Grace's. Grace accepts and they sit down.
"So, tell me why you want this job." Graces asks, taking out her notebook.
"Well, I've always loved clothes and fashion. I shop here sometimes too so after the store I worked at shut down, I thought I'd apply here since there was a position." Hannah answers.
"Ahh and you worked at Goombi's right?" She asks.
"Yes ma'am. For 4 years." Hannah smiles.
"Well then I'm sorry that it closed that must've been hard." Grace frowns.
"Yeah it was...but I thought of it as the end of a chapter of my life and this is the start of a new one." Hannah half smiles.
"Huh. I like that." Grace's lips curl up slowly.
They sit there for another 20 minutes and Grace doesn't even need to interview the other person. She already knows that Hannah is the one for the job. She's professional yet she's funny. Grace finds herself in tears at one of Hannah's jokes.
"Okay ya know what? You're hired." Grace says.
"Really? Thank you so much! You won't regret it!" Hannah smiles.
"You deserve it. Let me get your number so I can text you the schedule and you can text me your availability for the month." Grace says, pulling out her phone.
"Yeah sure 555-4368." Hannah smiles.
"Great. Well, pleasure to meet you Ms Hart." Grace holds out her hand. Hannah accepts and shakes it firmly.
"You too...but you can call me Hannah if you'd like."
"Right. Everyone here calls me ma'am but frankly, I hate it. It makes me feel old...so between you and me, you can call me Grace." Grace giggles. Hannah smiles and waves goodbye.
Yeah. Hannah's gonna be a great worker, Grace thinks.
