Voice Entry No. 161

Hi. Yeah. So, I'm not sure if I should even be doing this considering I'm going to bed in a top secret agency. I'm pretty sure they have cameras or at least mics recording everything I do and say here. I didn't do much today, I had my monthly check up. And I think that's about the only special thing I did. I go into the training room sometimes—there's a treadmill and weights and everything. But I really just go for the punching bag.

You know I stopped doing these very long ago. But since I can't write in a diary, since you know... I can't see, and since you told me to do so; I'll do it, Dad. But only for you, don't think I enjoy doing this.

Kiara came into the gym while I was there today. She's been coming there a lot these days. She says its to 'train', but I think she comes in to talk to me. After Genevieve

No, Marlowe thought. He doesn't need to know that. She paused for a minute, worrying the sound of her breathing would be very audible when she replayed the recording. She scoffed. What was anyone going to do? No one was going to hear this anyway. She thought about what her Dad would rather like to know about Genevieve.

After Genevieve... got... sick. She's not really that sick, but she is enough to always be in the hospital. Kiara tells me that they are leaving again—apparently to go to some rich function first, and then they'll go to catch Redstone or Rothstein or whatever this whole thing is going to turn into.

Honestly, I like Kiara. She's nice and talks and is funny in a serious way. There's also something... delicate about her. Delicate? I know I just said delicate. Don't get me wrong, I've figured out her reputation as an agent, but she doesn't talk to me like she has to. I think she really likes talking to me. Sometimes we just sit there together without talking... Yeah I like Kiara Deaton—at least much more than a lot of the other people I've met here.

They won't tell me exactly what happened to you, but they don't need to. I know when things are bad.

She stops talking and thinks for a while. And then she thinks some more. Blind Spot won't help her. No matter how much she likes Kiara, she is still Agent Deaton. When time comes, she'll always be on Blind Spot's side. On their Director's side. And if the Director didn't have saving her Dad on his agenda then...

Marlowe didn't want to think about it.

Some other time, she would have gone to Genevieve. Talked about it. When her mother died, Genevieve was a constant presence. Marlowe always felt better after talking to her. Just general, normal, weightless things. Nothing too important. But now Genevieve wasn't the big-sister figure her Dad had introduced her to. She was with Blind Spot. Marlowe was aware, Blind Spot wasn't something Genevieve loved. But she knew... Nevi. Still, she wasn't able to say her full name for too long. It just had a weird taste in her mouth.

You don't worry though, Dad. I said it before and I'll say it again—I'll find you. They can't keep me here forever. She laughed. That ended a little dark. I'm going to put this down now. But I'll see you soon, I know it.

Nevi Wilfred was smart. She knew when to switch sides. Just like Marlowe Agnor.
