Unexpected

Chapter eight

It was the next day. And I sat in my room all alone. The news was on but I was paying no attention to it. It was just the president giving a boring speech.

After we played tag in the park yesterday Kyo was not really feeling good. So I took him home then went back to my dorm house.

I was about to turn it off when there was a bang. I look at the tv. The president lay half on the podium. "What is going on?" I think. The screen goes static then a seal of a flag comes on. It is blue with a blooming golden flower and golden vines swirled around it. A voice spoke.

"Hello citizens of America. I'm L. And I'm here to rule over your country. Now I know what you are thinking. But I would just like to let you know.... I shot your president. And I have eyes everywhere so if you defy me I will kill you and all your loved ones!"

The screen went black.
