It was my first day teaching at Hogwarts. I wasn't the most nervous person though, which helped me through my classes today but it didn't help the fact that my stomach was practically eating itself from hunger.I rubbed my stomach and grunted before packing my away the resources, turning off the projector and heading to The Great Hall.
When I was walking down the hallway, a familiar face had come out of nowhere and.
"Hello, Professor Huxley" Neville Longbottom said, cheerfully. I had noticed the poor boy lacked confidence so I knew I had to be gentle with him.
"Afternoon Neville" I said "You off to lunch then are you?" I asked.
"Erm yes Professor, I-I was also wondering if you could tutor me for potions" he stammered. "I-I'm not doing so well, and Professor S-Snape scares me."
He stared at the floor and twiddled his thumbs while he waited for my response."Well of course I can Neville, it would be my pleasure" I said softly, adjusting my septum piercing.
"What days are best for you?" I asked, wrinkling my nose slightly.
"Monday's, Wednesday and Thursday I-If you can, Professor" Neville said.
"Perfect" I said "I'd better get going, I'm starving" I whined, walking off into the Great Hall. I yawned and brushed my blonde hair from my face.
Seeing movement from the corner of my eye, I turn my head to see a familiar looking man with hair which was a strange shade of ginger and a moustache to match, waving at me and tapping a seat next to him. I smiled and walked over to him.
"Hello, Margo" Lupin said, smiling is gentle smile.
"Hi Lupin" I said snatching a piece of chicken off of his plate before throwing up in the air and catching it in my mouth.
"You can call me Remus you know" he said, laughing. I swallowed what was in my mouth but before I could reply, a deep voice interrupted, "I don't think she wants to, Lupin"
I laughed lightly before looking to see who had said that. I was met with a fairly handsome man with relatively long, silky, black hair.
"Hello" I said casually but I was ignored. I felt some brush past me and I looked to see a woman wearing a sickly pink suit and a beret with a darker shade of pink sitting in the seat that I was invited to sit in.
"Excuse me, madam" I said " I was about to sit there"
The woman puts on a plastic smile and says "Why, I don't see your name on it" he voice was shrill and made me wince.
Frustration bubbled up inside me but I decided to not allow my anger, escalate.
I tapped the man with beautiful hair on the shoulder.
"What's your name?" I asked. He rolled his eyes before replying "Professor Snape, to you"
Not being put off by his coldness, I smiled and said, a boy called Neville Longbottom wanted me to tutor him for your closers because you 'scare him', whatever that's supposed to mean"
