I looked out at the sunset through the window. "This place always looked pretty in the evening," I thought. I moved here 2 years ago and still didn't manage to find anybody to talk to. It might be a small town but I'm still the outsider here.
"Olivia!" Mom called as she started walking up the driveway.
"Yes mom?" I called back.
"You're still inside the house? I told you to get out and go for a walk... maybe meet some new friends,"
"I know mom but I don't need any friends, I have all the friends I need right in this house," And by friends I meant me, myself, and I.
"Whatever you say Olivia.. but I still need you to go to the store for me,"
"Fine" I mumbled. I walked downstairs and got my worn out boots on and walked to the store.
As I was walking down the produce aisle I saw this boy. He was super cute.
I started walking towards him to say hi when I tripped on my own two feet. I feel down knocking my head so hard I knew I would feel that in the mourning. I looked up hoping no one noticed when I saw him running towards me."Miss are you alright?" He asked.
"Yes, just clumsy that's all,"
"We'll try to be careful or you might end up badly hurt one day," He said as he winked at me. I laughed.
"Oh my gosh I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Olivia Parker" I said
"Nice to meet you, I'm Michael Hartdale," He said. I shook his warm, muscular hand and as soon as he let go a part of me was sad.
"Well I should probably go, see you later?" I asked.
"Sounds fun," We both said our goodbyes and I left that store feeling happier than I was before. "This is going to be a good year," I thought to myself.
