A cooling breeze washed over kel as the sun was setting. It would be night soon. Kel understood what that would do for her. She'd have to rush home before nightfall.

Quickly Kel ,made a run towards home. Who knew how much more time remained. She pciked up speed, certainly Tala would have her head for being extremely late.

She closed her eyes; the run reminded Kel of hunting: the sweet smell of blood, the fun of chasing her victims, and the wonderful reward of tasty flesh.

Kel felt several twigs break under her immense pressure. She squeaked and kept running, her pace steady and quick. Kel stopped running and opened her eyes to scout out her surroundings. She looked up at the sky. Not much time remained 'til night. Panic was starting to come to her. She wondered if she'd make it home in time. She had never been late before. Tala would surely kill her.

She sped up; running faster than ever. The sun was already gone, when the moon rose she'd be doomed. She increased speed with each second swirling past her. Kel heard a wolf howl come from ahead. She chipped into instincts; her ears zoned in on the sound and she increased speed. It was too late; the moon was up
