Byakuya POV:

"Hello, what can I do for you sir?" The receptionist at the front desk asked me. "I'm here to sign in of course, Togami Byakuya?" I looked down upon her as her face fell open. "Togami? Like, the Togami?" She responded in awe. "Yes, may you get on with it?" I sighed impatiently, she's beginning to get on my nerves. "Of course I'm so sorry," she scrambled to type on her computer, and eventually handed me a key. "Sixth floor sir, room 62-b," She nodded towards me and I scoffed In response. Why are the staff at an expensive private college such as Hopes Peak so wimpy? Whatever, I only have 4 years here anyway I believe, I'll put up with it. Father told he me to go here to better learn business management, so that's what I'm doing.

I made my way to the elevator, matching leather bags in hand. The doors opened and just as they were about to close, someone ran in and bumped into me. "Sorry! I'm so sorry oh my gosh," the person started apologizing profusely. Looking closer, they seemed to be a short brown haired male, who looked no older than 15. "You should be, why is a child at such an elite college?" I glared down at him, and he looked uncomfortable. "Uhm sorry but- uhm- I'm 19..." he mumbled, scratching his neck. "Oh really? Well, you sure are puny for a 19 year old," I remarked, adjusting my glasses. "Hey, I'm not that young looking! Anyway can you press the 6th button? I need to get to my dorm," he asked me, pointing at the elevator buttons. "Do it yourself." He rolled his eyes, pressing it.

As we got to the 6th floor, I stepped out and began walking to where I assume my dorm is. For some reason, the brown haired boy followed close behind. "Why are you following me, brat?" I turned at him and he looked at me confused. "Uh I'm going to my room?" He said like it was obvious. I scoffed, and continued walking. Eventually we both stopped at the same door. "I'm sorry this is my room, if you could like, go to yours that'd be great," he said and for a split second I doubted myself, looking at the dorm plague. It said 62-B, where I was told to go. "No, this is my room, you need to leave," I responded to him, and now it was his turn to look confused. "But it says 62-B and that's the room number on my key?" The boy stood there, looking confused.

He then looked at me in realization. "Oh we must be roomates! Sorry about the miscommunication haha," he nervously put his key in the lock, turning the doorknob open. "It appears we are," I said, somewhat disappointedly. "Well this probably wasn't the best start to our friendship, but let's start over! I'm Makoto Naegi, and you?" He walks over to his side of the room, throwing his mismatched bags down on the bed. "Byakuya, Byakuya Togami, and I don't understand what you mean by 'start to our friendship'," I made air quotes around the words, "I don't make friends, I make money." I rolled my eyes at him, setting down my bags as well. "Whatever, I will be your friend wether you like it or not," he huffed, folding his clothes and putting them away in the drawers we were supplied with.

All of a sudden his phone began ringing obnoxiously. He ran over to get it, putting it up to his ear hurriedly. "Oh hey Komaru! Sorry for not answering right away, but yeah I'm here!" He stood there, yelling his conversation to everyone. "I'm good, I'm with some prick of a roommate but I think everything should go okay." I attempted to ignore his childish words as I began putting my own belongings away in the given closets. "Okay good luck, bye!" He hung up, going back to unpacking. "So...uh what course are you majoring in?" He started, attempting to start a conversation. "Business management, why?" He smiled at me, obviously way to happy from my response. "Sounds boring, I'm studying Philosophy haha," he plugged in a small fridge into the outlets behind his desk while I made my bed.

Our room was structured like every other dorm I had seen photos of via my friend Celeste, who was studying fashion design. Yes I'm Aware I said I don't make friends, but she was an exception. Childhood friends I suppose is the way to put it. Our dorm had a bad on either side of the room, with an Auburn desk and chair on the foot of it. A small window separated the left side of the room from the other, with a short sill that Naegi put plants on for some reason. His side of the room was very animated, with bright colors and children's cartoon posters. Mine, on the other hand, was basically the same as before but with a few more objects.

"You're kinda boring not gonna lie, but still cool!" Naegi fell onto his bed, looking through his phone. "Did you just call me, the Byakuya Togami, boring?" I glared at him, but he didn't seem to notice. "I meant it in a good way!" He waved his hands like it was supposed to be a compliment. "Whatever," I sighed, laying on my bed and getting a book to read. "Ooo whatcha reading?" He hopped over to me, looking over my shoulder. "It doesn't concern someone like you, stay out of my business." He pouted, going back to his side of the room. "I will be your friend, you can't stop me," he huffed defiantly. Yeah sure, as if you have a choice on that. Why is this boy so stubborn? Never the less, it's not like he has a chance at becoming anything important. He is just a thing in the way of me getting to the top of the Togami Corporation.

1007 Words!

A/N so like, I was really bored and obviously instead of working on my other stories the logical explanation is to create a whole new one. Anyways this should be updating constantly for a while and then it'll slow down since I'm really motivated right now. I think that's all, thanks for reading Dear reader <3
