Walking along the glossy thick grass with her head lifted up at the moon, a small smile curved up her lips.

Herin sighed peacefully as the enthralling atmosphere surrounded her with great bliss.
Her eyes shinning, holding the countless stars in tiny brown eyes of her's.

"So You enjoy the night?"
Herin flinched at the voice coming from thin silence, turning around.
"Oh, Hello Renjun!"

She landed her eyes on him, standing with his left hand in one pocket as the other held his leather jacket over his forearm.

"You shouldn't really go out late at night this often." Renjun grazed his eyes over the lake.

She chuckled,
"It's not that bad, I'm away from other people and public places- Oh and yes! I do enjoy the night, Not that I don't like mornings, I'm a morning person but-"
"Do you ever shut up?"

Herin gave an awkward smile, mumbling a soft sorry.

Gulping down the loud silence that she found heavily vexatious, glancing at the low glare that sat on Renjun's face as he stared into air.

Noticing her gaze on him, he raised his brow eyeing her.
"What?"
"Do you like ice creams?"
Renjun watched her innocently looking up at him with hope swirling in the honey-like eyes.

"I guess."
He shifted his eyes away, Herin stepping beside him while bitting back a smile.

"I know a really good ice cream shop down the street.."
He looked down at her, exhausted eyelids as her's were filled with excitement.

"I'm not taking you."

Herin gasped,
"I'm not asking you to take me- Um..We could get some together-"
"No thank you."
Renjun kicked the small pebbles, watching them strike into the lake.

Herin's adrenaline gushed out at his basic response.
"You're very boring." She muttered.

His head snapped at her, the lethal glare growing holes into her side profile. Only then did she realize what she had said.

"N-Not as in boring 'boring'..No one's boring! Everyone has their own fun hobbies an-and-"
Herin's nervous blabbering suddenly got interrupted by a soft meow.

The two souls turned around to the sound, eyes falling on the full white cat sauntering his paws in their direction.

"Oreo!"
Herin picked him up, brushing her fingers through his tender fur.

"That's your cat?"
Renjun asked, judging the fluffy animal purring in her arms.

"Mhm."
Herin's smile glowed alluringly with Renjun's eyes still on her, watching her do so for a few minutes until she opened her mouth again.

"I..wanted to ask somthing."
Herin began.
"What?"

She genlty placed Oreo down on the grass, letting him flow his tail around her legs.

She hesitated,
"Are you and your friends..in a gang?"
Her tone was nervous and slightly petrified for his response.

Renjun sighed, brows crossing at her question.
"Why? Curious about the rumours?"
"I didn't mean to offend you-"
"Yeah I am in a gang, If you want to call it that."

Herin's breath halted, a bit baffled by his words and gazing at his careless expressions as he emphasised the word 'gang'.
"Oh."

She slowly pulled up a smile, about to speak once again- only to be stopped by Renjun's phone.

"One sec."
Herin nodded as Renjun walked away in a distance to answer his call.
Leaving Herin with thoughts invading her mind endlessly. She was bewildered at what to expect, Not that she judged him for his actions whatsoever.

She was just glad he forgave her and accepted to be her friend,
Well kind off a 'friend'.

But one thing she wasn't sure of, was his reply.
'If that's what you want to call it.'
Herin knitted her brows, staring into the greenery of the trees while being complex.

The soothing lake sound with Oreo purring and hitting his tail on the ground and relaxing beside the shinning water as the moon beamed down, giving the girl a source of light.

Before she could lean down to touch the lake water, Renjun quickly paced towards her. Definitely not in a delightful mood.

"Go home, the streets are not safe at night and it's almost twelve."
His tone was hoarse but unsteady.

Herin straightened her knees while standing up,
"Its okay, I'll go in a few."
She smiled.

"No it's not, I know more than you about this place and what happens when it's after midnight."
He grit his teeth in irritation, checking the time.

A frown grew on her face,
"But-"
"I said it's not safe, so quite being stubborn."

Herin's bottom lip was dragged under by teeth as she bit on the plump surface, Confusion diving in.
"Renjun, I've been here a lot of times and I can go home just fine-"

She was harshly interupted by his wrathful sigh.
"If you go home right now, I'll take you to get ice cream's."

Herin's eyes sparked at his words, smile not failing to approach her lips. She squinted her eyes playfully while he gritted his teeth.

"Promise?"
She asked, Renjun glanced at the time on his phone.
"Yeah promise or whatever, just Go."
