Hu Tao pointed to what seems to be a light source, both of you stopped in place to try and figure out what and where that light was coming from, but it was weird, you two stayed in place yet, the light came coming closer and closer.
As you squinted your eyes from the bright light, you felt an ache crawl up to your head.
"!!!"
"Hey! What's wrong"
(It hurts...)
"Hey!"
(Hold on, why do I feel like I've seen this light before..."
"Y/N?!"
(Oh no, hu tao is worried, I should get up and... and...)
As your mind was beginning to fade, a memory flashed out of nowhere.
(I'm sure mother will really love these flowers... now just to head home- !!!)
You were so focused on the flowers, to try to keep them safe, that you forgot about your own safety, as you were just about to head down, you suddenly slipped down to a small space in the mountain you climbed.
For days and days... you kept calling for help, yet, no one. The only voice you heard was the sound of your woes echoing through that small space, as days passed by, you managed to cope by imagining scenarios and situations where you were home, sitting next to your mother under the old tree right beside your house, as you tell her about your day.
She wasn't able to experience much fun in her life since she has been ill ever since she was young, it was even a blessing for her to conceive such a young girl like you, but, her sweet little girl has been trapped into a small space with no food nor water.
Your heart clenched just by the thought of her being worried sick, you knew well that she won't be able to climb up here to save you nor get anyone to help since you two didn't really have much money, just being able to get through the day by selling fruits or by you helping well off people by picking weeds from their yards.
Even with all that, you somehow felt happy, since you no longer had any hope to be saved, you are now contented to have lived a happy life, blessed with a loving mother, and the dear mother that gave you such a strong body despite her weak bones, that was easily affected by diseases, yet had the strongest heart out of everyone in the whole entire world.
But still, deep within your heart in your final moments, you still had a dream lingering,
"I wish I could bring back those pretty flowers, I'm sure mother would really be delighted..."
As your eyes started feeling weak, the memories of your life flashing right before your eyes, as the final thought in your head played, it was a person, the one and last thing you have last thought of was the bright smile your mother could've made if you were able to make it home that day.
"I'm sorry, mom, please forgive me for leaving first..."
Your body turned cold as you fell into permanent slumber, death.
