I guess in order to set the stage for this story I really should start at the beginning. I was born on November 4th, 2004. A few weeks after I was born a new family moved in across the street with a baby that was two weeks older than me and that was when I met Liam. I've known him almost my entire life, We have been each other's partner in crime since day one. Then it was time to start Pre-school and our little gang began to grow. On the first day of school or at least sometime around then, We meet Ryker and Zayden. The four of us immediately connected and quickly started to cause trouble as every good friend group should. We left chaos and destruction everywhere we went... well as much chaos as five-year-olds can cause. Our group of four was inseparable, in third grade, our fifth and final member joined Grayson moved in down the street from Liam and me. We all were inseparable Liam was our front man He was the leader of everything we did and usually took the fall when something would go wrong. Ryker was Liam's right-hand man whatever Liam did Ryker was quickly following behind. Whether it was joining a new sport or getting lost in the woods you could always bet that those two were in it together. If Ryker was Liam's right-hand man then you could bet Zayden was the Left. Though Zayden didn't do everything that Ryker and Liam did He was always there for them through thick and thin. Waiting for them with a change of clothes so they didn't get caught when we swam in the lake. Flashlights ready for cave explorations, and solid advice if anything ever went wrong. When we added Grayson we added the brains of the operation. He was never the one who wanted to go hiking or mudding with us, He would much rather be "Safe and at home" as he would put it... We just called it "lame" none the less His brain helped us add a new level to our chaos. Last, but definitely not least is me, Emory. I might not look like I can, but I can keep up with the boys. I have my entire life, and we all know I'm the one who actually pulls all the strings in this group. I might not always be a part of the chaos, but I probably know what's going on, and how big our first aid kit needs to be. Though I'm not always in the front of the pack, I'm in the back with a backpack, first aid kit, and snacks. Though we might not be the most conventional group of five, we were definitely the most fun.
That was until Jr.High hit. That was when Ryker's family moved to the next town over, which wasn't the biggest thing, but He changed schools, and He started to grow apart from the rest of us. Two schools schedules became a little hard to coordinate with sports schedules and now that I had cheer, Ryker had Soccer, Liam did football and Basketball, And Grayson had some afterschool activity that we really didn't understand, plus all of our homework. It made it hard to see Ryker. We tried to see each other once a week, then that turned into every other week, then once a month, and well soon that even faded away. Ryker found new friends and a newfound popularity that he never had in our school, and I guess that was it. The rest of us still found time to hang out, or at least hang out while we did homework on the weekends or made it to each other's sporting events.
Well, all of that happened about five years ago. Next week, we start our Junior year of high school. Liam made varsity this year for football, I'm on varsity cheer, Ryker made varsity Fall soccer, And Grayson made varsity robotics. This year looks like it could definitely be our year.
