I plodded along down the cement walk of oak street as I glanced down diverting my gaze from the street in front of me to see wet spots appearing rapidly on the dirt encrusted ground. I then tilted my head up to see a gorgeous cascade of clouds swim through the sky and pause over me. Slowly but surely I waited knowing what was to come. And sure enough after a few moments of waiting the clouds turned dark and grey and slowly drifted apart to reveal the sky and its ocean of blue-ness. As the blankets of heavily layered fog drifted apart rain fell from them and wet my pale skin. This is strange, I thought. It almost never rains in the summer here in LA. Thats why I must cherish these few blue-grey days we have and rip off my jacket, drop my dark orange jans port back pack and-dance. This is just what I did know. Throwing my leather and grey fabric letterman jacket tot he ground, I hopped and pranced and swung and leaped in all ways conceivable. I'm not sure how long I danced but by the time my panting breath and aching core forced me to rest I saw the setting sun in the distance. This gorgeous display of beauty made me want to sit cross-legged on the cliff overlooking the beach and the ocean in Santa Monica where I used to visit every weekend, and just watch the colors drift lazily across the sky, but
I know my mother will need help preparing dinner for my four younger siblings, so I rush back to where I dropped my pack and my jacket-and rush home.
