It had been a few months since the cultivation world learned the truth about Jin Guangyao. The landscape of the world had changed, but despite that, 3 clans were still standing like the strong trunks of an oak tree. The Qinghe Nie sect, the Gusu Lan sect and the Yunmeng Jiang sect.

The Lanling Jin sect for its part had been quite affected by the bad reputation of its former leader and all this weight had fallen directly on the young leader of the clan, Jin Ling who day by day was striving to the limit to improve the increasingly decadent position of his sect.

But right now and for his good fortune, he had the support of two important people for him, those were of course, his two uncles. Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying.

A few days after Jin Guangyao's death, Jiang Cheng went to the Gusu Lan sect at 5 o'clock in the morning, he asked to see Wei Ying but when he found out that Wei Ying was still resting, he decided to wait for him kneeling in front of the main gate in front of the eyes of all the people.

Wei Ying was not notified of this news until the evening of the same day, because since he opened his eyes he locked himself inside the Jingshi to check some talismans that he had not finished yet due to lack of time.

It was not until he went out to eat something, almost at curfew time that he found out where Jiang Cheng was. Wei Ying froze, he felt as if his blood froze in an instant, his mind went blank and his nerves came to the surface.

What was Jiang Cheng doing there?

Wasn't he supposed to hate him, or did he come for that very reason?

Wei Ying thought that even though they were not on bad terms, they would not see each other again, at least not under those conditions. More than anything else, what he couldn't get out of his head was —

He was really kneeling there all day?!

Without being able to wait a second longer, he ran to where Jiang Cheng was as fast as he had rarely done in his life, once he arrived, their eyes met and what followed was for both of them, the most sincere talk they had ever had with anyone in their lives.

When Lan Zhan left the kitchen and arrived at the Jingshi, he found an empty room but with traces of having been abandoned a short time ago, he became worried, left the freshly prepared food on the table and began to look around for Wei Ying, until he found two young disciples who explained the situation to him.

Such seemed that happy moments are always so short for Lan Zhan, what followed that day was almost a nightmare for him, Wei Ying resumed his old sworn brother relationship with Jiang Cheng, he was offered his old place in Yunmeng Jiang and the opportunity to be one of the main supporters of his beloved nephew.

Lan Zhan knew that goodbye was approaching, and mentally prepared for it... but still, he could not let go of the small hope of...

What if Wei Ying decides to stay? — if he decides to stay, I... will be even more attentive to him, I will confess my true feelings to him, no matter whether he accepts me or not, I... just want to... devote my life to take care of him and make sure he is well.

But to Lan Zhan's misfortune, the day came and Wei Ying departed. He could see the tears wanting to peep out of Wei Ying's eyes, but he, being that boy so reluctant to show his true feelings, hid them behind his bright smile and warm parting words.

Anyway, it's not like we'll never meet again, I'll be waiting for you in Yunmeng! And...little ones, don't forget to train properly.

Because I'll be grading you when I see you again!

After his departure and already in the darkness of the Jingshi, Lan Zhan cried as he had not done since the death of Wei Ying.

The following weeks he began to learn little by little what Wei Ying was doing and how his life was now, apparently he had quickly adapted to the rhythm of the Jiang sect, changing it to a more cheerful and kinder sect with his disciples, he was also being part of many new events both hunting and with political overtones, probably in order to help at least a little to the difficult situation that the Lanling Jin sect had.

The only thing that gave Lan Zhan comfort was knowing that not so far away, there was Wei Ying, his beloved Wei Ying, the light of his life, alive, smiling. And enjoying his freedom.

But, although every day he hypnotized himself repeating that Wei Ying was fine, that he was being cared for by someone other than himself, he felt the hole in his chest getting bigger and bigger, sometimes even making it hard to breathe. He had almost returned to his daily life before Wei Ying revived, but there was nothing he could do about the feeling of loneliness and emptiness that was taking over him.

Every day he would arrive at the empty Jingshi and miss him, his smiles, his voice, seeing him every day, Lan Zhan felt he couldn't even sleep well, he was missing the presence of someone in his bed, in his room, in his life. He wanted to have him next to him, and the cravings were changing him.

Hello!

I'm so sorry for leaving this here and not having uploaded anything for so long.

As you may have noticed, this Lan Zhan didn't have enough courage to properly put his feelings into words and Wei Ying... we'll see later.

It would be spoiler but... I'd like to see Lan Zhan reach his limit once he finds out about the banquet they're going to have to "find a wife" for Wei Ying.

And yes, Jiang Cheng is interested in Wei Ying.
