The next morning Jess arrived at work. Danny had dropped her off and made sure he parked around the corner so not to be spotted by any of the cast. Jess blew him a kiss and made her way towards the set.
As she walked through the houses hallway lost in a daydream of her amazing weekend with Danny a voice bought her back down to reality. "Jess, Ooh Jessica" Jess snapped out of the dream and spun around to see Sarah running up to her. "Where have you been all weekend I've been trying to get hold of you" Sarah asked her."Oh um sorry, not a lot I've just been relaxing" Jess replied while nervously pushing her golden locks out of her face. Jess hated lying to her, actually she hated lying full stop. She really wasn't any good at it and Sarah seemed to notice. "Right" Sarah questioned her answer. "Anyway, Ryan wants to speak to everyone about next weeks episode, he is changing some of the scenes". Jess nodded vacantly she wasn't really listening to Sarah she was too busy wondering about what Danny was up to now. "Jess, Jess. Earth to Jess" Sarah said goofily. "Oh sorry, I'm miles away" said Jessica. "Right, so when's this meeting?"
"About 5 minutes in the lounge, I think we're just waiting on Kathy". Brilliant thought Jess enough time to grab a coffee.
In the meeting Jess scanned the room looking for Danny. He was nowhere to be seen. Disheartened she took a seat next to Sarah and Francis. "Right" Ryan announced as he took out a script. "I'm not changing a lot, I've just decided that in the scene where Sarah explains about the seven wonders to the coven we are cutting it shorter and going to Jess and Danny's scene" Jess's ears pricked up. She knew that scene it well, she had read it a hundred times of more.
With that Danny rushed through the the door. Jess looked up at him and smiled. "Sorry I'm late" Danny said looking at Jess. "My car was playing up" he explained taking a seat opposite Jess. "Thats fine" Ryan continued "I was just explaining that scene 12 is being shortened for a longer one between you and Jess, so if you can add these to your scripts that would be great" said Ryan handing out copies for everyone. "Right we will start with scene 3 please, which is Cordelia and Myrtle kitchen scene"
The cast began to get up and Danny darted his eyes towards Jess's and gave her a cheeky smile. Jess coyly smiled back as she got up. Danny swiftly followed her as she walked out the lounge towards the back door.
Outside she lit up a cigarette and hid near a big tree. Danny joined her as he pulled out his cigar.
"So" he smirked. "Me and you have got a longer scene then" Jess nodded as she took a long drag. "We must keep this hush hush, me and you" said Jess.
Danny saluted in agreement. "I mean we have to be really careful, Sarah is already suspicious about why I was so uncontactable over the weekend".
"Your just being paranoid" laughed Danny. "No one suspects anything between us" Jess glanced up at him. "God your handsome" she said.
Later that day on set, it was Jess and Danny's scene. "Right from the top" shouted the director. Jess began to act out her first encounter with the Danny's axeman character. It was clear to see from anyone watching that they had chemistry. After a couple of takes the director yelled "Cut! take a 5" yelled the director. Jess and Danny stood up, Danny leaned in to Jessica's ear and whispered "Remember our first night" a wide smile spread across Jess's face as she recalled their first night of passion together, it was one of the most thrilling experiences of her life. He was such a wonderful lover. Jess nodded her head and from the corner of her eye noticed Sarah grinning at her like a Cheshire Cat. Jess stared back at her knowing that Sarah knew something was up.
Jess got up from the chair and approached Sarah, tugging at her arm as if to say come with me. Sarah obediently followed Jess, smirking as she went. Outside Jess lit up a cigarette and turned to Sarah as if to say something but then stopped. Sarah giggled and said in a very confident way "So had a quiet weekend did we" Jess eyed Sarah up and down wondering why she would ask such a thing. "What do you mean?" Jess questioned darting her eyes over to the trees. "Well..." Sarah answered, "I was just starting conversation" Jess turned her face back to Sarah's and noticed a glint in her eyes. "Sarah what are you getting at?" Sarah kept her eyes on Jess studying her face. She knew she was hiding something, and it was something about Danny. Just as Sarah was about to make the announcement, a runner came outside calling "Miss Lange, Richard (the director) wants to go through the scene with you and Danny again". Jess nodded and put her cigarette out. She brushed past Sarah made her way inside. Making her way to the set, she couldn't help but think why Sarah was so interested in what she got up to. Did she know, how did she know. Was it that obvious, did everyone know. Danny was talking with Richard as Jess entered the room. She gave him a panicked look and mouthed "I need to talk to you" at him. Danny gave her a concerned nod, but it was interrupted by Richard giving the orders to get on their marks. It would have to wait for now. But Jess still couldn't help feeling that Sarah was on to them, and little did she know. She was.
