CHAPTER 2 - the midnight find

Madame Ray, said a knight walking towards me "yes sir Pridmore." he paused and then bowed rising back up to speak. "there has been another kidnapping and this time a murder alongside with it down in the northeast side of the city Rosebush"
he said in a strict tone carried out with urgency, my eyes went wide in shock when I heard there was a murder alongside the kidnapping this time ." lead the way " I said firmly as I got out of my shocked state to start quickly. He then led me to my room saying it's best to dress more appropriately seeing as I might get dirty so I quickly changed into black pants with a button-up blue tailcoat and black boots then walked to the door to leave. "Now let's move quickly" I spoke out sternly to the knight he node and led the way in haste as time has been lost. We got into the carriage then rode on it was a long one seeing as I fell asleep along the ride." we arrived your majesty " sir Pridmore spoke as he woke me up" as my eyes began to focus they went wide it was midnight in the sky ther was a crescent moon and many stars in the sky it was absolutely beautiful but we weren't in the city " sir Pridmore if you don't mind if I ask why are we not in the city yet." I said with a question yet quiet tone." we will be in the city tomorrow morning But it's best we rest at the inn to wake early in the morning princess." He said "I see well then may we all head inside to rest now," I said with a small smile he then nodded opened the carriage door, and held it opened as I followed to exit as well. Sir Pridmore knocked on a wooden door 3 times a young man opens the door "evening princess evening sir please do come inside it dangerous side " he spoke as he opened the door wider for us to go inside "may I ask what your name is sir" I side as I sat down in the chair across from him "apologizes I forgot to introduce myself my name is Alastor midwind pleaser to meet you Princesse" I smiled " pleased to meet you as well sir Alastor" a maiden came down with tea and small pies for us." enjoy your stay here and please do rest well." she said as she left quietly. "Now I do know you came here to rest but..." Alastor said seemingly hesitating "go on sir," I said "ah well² there was a. Attack just down the street to the 3rd rode down right this morning. Seeing as it happens so early I doubt you were informed yet Princes." He said "do you have the exact location and information on the matter " Pridmore said standing up and putting his cup down. "Yes, it's down the street down to the right 3rd. Street called arrow wind storm st. Being in the 10th building to the right. " thank you now I'll be going in for a search now " Pridmore said as he turned to me "go to bed princess you will need rest for tomorrow's misfortune." Pridmore then excused himself to go take a look at the scene himself and wrote a quick report being back by 3 in the morning 3 hours later. The princess struggled to sleep tho, the way Alastor spoke it seemed fake almost guilty...to  almost for a murder just this morning.
