It was dark outside, chilly. The streets quiet. The only thing you could hear was crickets chirping or the faint dog barking from the neighbours house. It was only 04:30 AM. Jisoo's alarm beeped. She pulled down the warm, heavy covers over her head, trying to block out the sound. She let out a soft but irritated groan. She hated getting up this early. (But doesn't every one?) She slammed her hand against the the top of her clock and let out a sigh. How long did she have to wait to find a person who she found waiting for her at her home? How long did have to wait to find the person missing from her life? To find the person who she would come to love more than everything.
Like how she used to love her.
Jisoo loved writing children's books. Maybe if she was feeling like it she would right teen or adult rated books, usually with romance as the genre. Ironically, she didn't think that much about love. Only at moments like this morning when she couldn't help it. People say that high school is the best years of your life, for Jisoo it was different. She had a terrible stutter and got made fun of in high school. In her second last year of high school she took language classes, grew out her hair and even got contacts. She still wasn't satisfied, because her stutter was still there. She only started taking the language lessons a week ago. It still made a huge difference though. But they still made fun of her.
"Jisoo can you read the first part?" asked Mrs. Park
Jisoo stood up and held the book in her hands. She began reading.
"C-Come, gen-ge-gentle Ni-Night, co-come, lov-lo-loving, bl-black-browed Night," Jisoo said, stuttering uncontrollably. The language lessons she had been taking for a week barely helped. The fact that she was talking in front of moody, teenagers just made it worse.
"Great, Jisoo. Thank you," Mrs. Park said. Mrs. Park was alway kind to Jisoo. She even gave Jisoo extra help on Tuesday and Fridays to help with her stutters. Even though she helped her it barely did her any good.
"Gregory, continue reading the part, please" she said.
Of course she had to ask the class bully to read after Jisoo. It wouldn't be high school without life stressing on every mistake or embarrassing moment. He started reading, mocking the stutters.
What an asswhole.
The whole class laughed and smiled at the stutters Greg mocked her with. Jisoo couldn't stand it, she just kept her head low. At least Mrs. Park had the knowledge to stop the whole class. It made it a little better.
"B-but Mrs.- Mrs. Pa-Par-Park," Greg mocked, chuckling. Jisoo hated this feeling. And then she couldn't stop. She ran out of the classroom. She ran up and up the stairs of the high school. When she finally reached the top she panted and bent down with her hands on her knees. She walked across the top of the building to the wall that was barely above her hips. She couldn't think. She closed her eyes as she heard the laugh that emanated from the classroom when that dick back at the classroom mocked her. And before she could react. Before she could even regret what she was doing. She leaped.
As she fell forward, face first off the roof top, she thought about how nobody would miss her. How nobody would even wince at the news of her being dead. Her life flashed before her eyes as all she could think about is why she was even born if this is how quickly her life was over. Eighteen short years of her life was lived and in a mere second she was plunging to her death.
As her feet left the edge of the wall all she could think about was how her parents were going to react.
Would they be sad, would they be happy?
Tears flied backwards. With her arms stretched out she closed her eyes and thought this was it. Somehow she thought all of this and yet she was barely two centimetres away from the wall.
