After that hit and run incident Vera had her eyes open to the fullest.. she drove to Patrick's place for her to take care of him.. as they arrive she help him out of the car and rest him by the couch.. she took the first aid kit and try to ease his pain while he was still unconscious

Vera: I'm so sorry to drag you into this.. I'm sorry for not telling you the truth I knew I was a burden from the first time we saw each other from the elevator.. there are so many times I could've told you that I got my memories back but I didn't, Patrick I'm sorry.. I'm sorry that I should've told you that everything came back to me as soon as I left that house of yours🥺🥺 and choose to live with Vince
(Vera's tears flooded and she sniffles on her knees.. suddenly she felt his hands patting her back, she lifts her head and saw him staring at her with tears in his eyes)
Patrick: I forgive you🥺.. you were never a burden to me.. I would rather kill myself than to miss the opportunity to meet you.. the woman of my life.. my shooting star my---
(Vera didn't let him finish she immediately capture his lips and kiss his worries away the one thing she really wanted to do ever since they saw each other again on her office.. the passion between them never faded.. Patrick match her energy not wanting to end this moment)

(The next morning, Vera woke up naked underneath.. her fragile body tangled in the sheets, she turn and didn't find Patrick beside her so she wrap herself with the blanket and went downstairs .. there she found him cooking up breakfast wearing a towel.. she hug him from behind)
Vera: good morning handsome..
(Patrick turn to her and give her a sweet peck in the lips)
Patrick: good morning to you too..😊
Vera: what's cooking?
Patrick: it's a surprise..
Vera: tell me..
Patrick: hehehe get dressed first.. I don't want to burn the food with you teasing me with that sexy body.. go
Vera: yes sir..hahaha
(Vera went upstairs with a big smile..she felt refresh but having that odd feeling that today is something special.. as she entered the room there it hit her, it's his birthday today.. no wonder he's jolly and happy.. so she got down stairs all dressed up with the table ready)
Vera: you're going at work right?
Patrick: what? I was planning on staying here with you.. you know hang out and also keep you safe in case he comes back..
Vera: pat I'll be fine.. besides he doesn't know this address.. the cops are one call away.. and it would be suspicious if we both didn't show up to work.. I'll stay here.. guard the house, and I'm kinda feeling under the weather so.. plsss🥺
Patrick: fine.. you stay..just be safe ok?
Vera: yes sir.. now get dressed and let's have breakfast..
(Patrick walk away heading to the bathroom.. vera couldn't help but giggle as she saw what 'damages' she has put and cause on his perfect body.. claw marks and red spots everywhere.. after they both ate breakfast she accompany him to his car bringing he's briefcase)
Patrick: are you sure.. you should stay alone? I mean I'm sure the people of work wouldn't mind..I wouldn't mind..
Vera: yes I'm sure.. don't worry too much it doesn't look good on you..
(Patrick got in the car as vera handed him his briefcase by the window)
Vera: pat... I--- i----- Ummmm
(Patrick leans in and gave her a gentle kiss)
Patrick: I know.. I love you too.. stay safe ok?
Vera: ok.. see you later
(Patrick drove off.. Vera has plenty of work to do if she's planning to surprise him for his birthday.. she started to clean the house and ordered some cake for his birthday dinner.. she was having a bit fun having the house all to herself with a mission of making her now man happy.. as dawn approaches.. she was almost done.. just some finishing touches to go..she scurry back to the kitchen to find a match in lightning the candles when she heard the door opens)
Vera: Pat.. is that you?
(No one answered.. so she approach the living room and found the door wide open.. she walks towards it and look outside, Patrick's car wasn't in the driveway..she thought she might just be tired.. so she went back to the house to continue finishing up..as she returns to the kitchen she saw a rose by the countertop she pick it up and wondered who put it there cuz it wasn't there before, she had this eerie feeling that she wasn't alone by the house as she turn her eyes grew)

Patrick: thanks for the help.. I'll see you tomorrow.. and don't worry I'm sure Ms. Farmiga will return first thing in the morning (patrick said as he finishes a phonecall from one of the guys from work.. he was about to head home..he tried calling Vera but she wasn't answering so he stop by a nearby flowershop and bought her a simple yet sophisticated bouquet of flowers.. as he arrived home all the lights were out.. he smiles knowing Vera's moves are so predictable.. he exits the car and stood by the porch.. as he took his key and Open the door there was nothing but silence, this was nothing like Vera, so he turn on the lights and he suddenly gasp.. the house was trashed.. glasses, furniture everywhere.. he was quick to acknowledge Vera's whereabouts.. he first went to upstairs and found her nowhere.. he then went to the kitchen,the bathroom and the backyard and still no sign of her.. he was worried.. as he came back to the kitchen he saw the cake by the table.. it was fine, but it didn't still help lose his worries to where Vera is, he checked his phone and called her but all he heard was her ringtone.. he followed it and found her phone under the couch it was all mess up and crack.. he calls the police and 5 mins later they arrive and starts investigating the environment.. he told every info he know.. eventually they check out his security system (CCTV) and there he saw everything which send chills to his spine.. someone entered his house and took Vera.. she fought hard with all her might just to get away and reach her phone to call Patrick but she was defeated by a sudden hit of a vase by her head.. Patrick's tears fell while his hand curves into a ball..)

Patrick: son of a b****!!
Man: do you know who could've done this sir?
Patrick: yes.. it was Vince
