"Hinata!" Noya said, running after Hinata.
The boys had just gotten done with practice and were heading home.
Upon hearing his name, Hinata stopped and turned to look at Nishinoya.
"Oh hai, whats up?" Hinata said with a smile. As Nishinoya caught up, Hinata wrapped his arm around Noya's shoulder.
"Oh nothing just wanted to walk with you. Why aren't you and Kageyama walking together today?" Nishinoya asked, slipping his hands into the pockets of his shorts.
Both boys walked in a steady pace, Hinatas arm still wrapped around Nishnoya's shoulder. They passed by a kid, who looked to be their age, shooting hoops in a small basketball court by the park.
It was dark, and Nishinoya was confused why a kid would be shooting hoops in the dark, and by himself. But then again Nishinoya practiced volleyball at night, all night long by himself.
Not every night, but just when a big game was coming up, or if he was bored and needed something to do.
"We broke up." He heard Hinata say, reminding Nishinoys that he was walking with Hinata.
"You what?!" Nishinoya said loudly, practically screaming. Even the boy playing basketball stopped what he was doing to look over at the ruckus Noya was making.
Nishinoya stood infront of hinata, his hands on each of Hinata's shoulders. Both boys stood still and Nishinoya looked confusingly at Hinata.
"We broke up." Hinata repeated casually, peering down at his feet. Noya cocked his head to the side, confused.
Hinata and Kageyama have been together for so long, and Kageyama loved Hinata so much. So why would they break up? It doesn't make sense.
"Why? What happened?" Nishinoya asked.
Hinata stood quietly, kicking pebbles and staring down at the ground. After a short pause he said, "Because Kageyama's in love with someone else." He talked so quietly, almost as if someone was spying on them and he didn't want them hearing.
