A/N: I forgot about the dorm system until after I wrote the chapter. So I'll have Y/N and Aizawa move into the dorms a little later.

"Y/N, time for your medicine" Aizawa called from the kitchen.

Y/N wobbled his way to the kitchen, a walking stick as his aid. It had been a little while after the attack, and Y/N was going through therapy so he could be able to walk again. He was still limping and he would fall from time to time, but he was slowly getting better.

His heart was beginning to worsen, and was under strict supervision from his caretaker.

Chelsea was hot on his heels. Ever since Y/N returned home, Chelsea couldn't leave his side, not even for a second. Y/N took his medicine, even if it was yucky.

"I have to go to a mission here soon. A little girl a little older than you is in trouble, okay? Mandalay will be here to watch you for a little while" Aizawa explained, kneeling to Y/N's height.

Y/N was a little fidgety at the news, discomfort in Aizawa's decision to go on a mission. He knew now, that heroes and villains were more than just a game. People actually got hurt, and Aizawa told him that people aren't supposed to get hurt when playing a game. Y/N didn't want Aizawa to be a hero if it meant he had to get hurt sometimes.

"It'll be okay. I'll always, find a way to come back to you" Aizawa reassured. Y/N's eyes watered as be dropped his walking stick and latched onto his father figure, wrapping his arms around the older with all the strength he had left. Which wasn't much anymore.

Aizawa was quick to return the hug, wanting nothing more than to see the young boy smile again. It pained him time and time again to see his tears. To see him sad, was a reminder that Y/N had yet to find true happiness.

There was a knock at the door, Aizawa wiped Y/N's tears before picking up his walking stick for him. Y/N shook his head when the item was offered to him. He was too tired to practice walking again.

Aizawa sighed softly and picked Y/N up, walking over to where the wheelchair was kept at the corner of the room. Y/N laid his head on Aizawa's shoulder, eyes half lidded.

The hero placed the child on the chair, draping a blanket over him as well. Chelsea hopped onto Y/N's lap in an instant, the boy's small fingers threading through the soft black fur of the cat moments later.

Aizawa went over to the door and opened it. Kota was quick to run past Aizawa, his main focus being to get to Y/N as fast as possible.

"Thank you Mandalay, this shouldn't take too long" Aizawa thanked, looking at the cat themed hero before directing his attention towards the kids.

Kota had tears in his eyes as he was carefully giving Y/N a hug from the side of the chair. Y/N was sadly gazing at the wooden floors, giving Kota a one armed hug, as the other one was wrapped around his cat.

"It's not a problem. How's he doing?" Mandalay asked gently, watching the interaction as well.

Aizawa kept quiet for a moment, looking at Y/N's drained expression. He looked exhausted like he had a full day's work, that shouldn't be the face of a 6 year old.

"He'll be okay. Just has to rest a little more" Aizawa reassured, but it was mostly to himself. He didn't show it, but he was terrified.

Kota was running back from the kitchen with a glass of water in hand and a cookie. It looked like Kota was Y/N's brother, fussing over him the way he was. Y/N smiled lightly and accepted the water, drinking it slowly, his throat was still injured from the fight and could only really eat soup at the moment.

He really missed onigiri.

Aizawa walked back to Y/N again, kneeling in front of his chair.

"I have to go now, I'll be back before you know it. Okay?"

Y/N looked at his hero, before lifting his pinkie finger. A pinkie promise. He learned what that was a few days ago when watching Clifford, which was a TV show much to his delight.

Aizawa chuckled and locked his pinkie with Y/N's, sealing the promise like an oath. And just like that, Y/N watched as his hero exited the house.
