Chapter 10: Secrets.

  Once you took Malcolm to his room, he said 'thank you' once more and closed the door to take a nap. 

  You sigh sadly. "My poor friend..." You pout. Malcolm has been through so much... Hopefully his stay here will help him... Also poor Austin will need his father once he finds out his mother's dead...

  "Y/n." You hear a familiar voice so you turn around and see Henry. "My baby!" You open your arms and he chuckles, hugging you. "Yes, it is I." He smiles and you giggle. "Are you sure it's a good idea to have him so close to our room?" He questions and moves away, his smile leaving his face. "Why wouldn't it be?" You question, pouting. "He's my best friend. Henry, I can assure you, he's a good person!"

  Henry squints his eyes at you, not believing that at all. You start to get nervous and he raises a brow, seeing it. 

  Ok, maybe Malcolm wasn't as good and stable... He's not a normal person... But he's still your best friend and he needs you right now!

  Henry sighs, "You're not gonna change your mind, so I guess I'll drop it for now... But if he makes one mistake, Y/n... I'm kicking him out and you're getting punished." "W-wha?!" You gasp. "Yes. No cuddles and kisses for 3 days." "Y-you can't do that!" "Oh, but I can~" He pokes your nose and turns around, leaving.

  "Damn..." You fold your arms. "Well, now I really hope Mal doesn't do anything stupid... He's not exactly the smartest person... He's pretty reckless... Hm, now that I think about it... Henry and Malcolm are total opposites. It's no wonder they don't get along. Well, that'll just have to change! Hmph!" You go to Austin, checking up on him. He seemed to be in Henry's mini library in your room. "Enjoying the books?" You question and he looks from the book he was reading to Angelica. 

  "Sorry," Austin pouts, "I know this is in your room, but I couldn't help myself." "It's ok." You giggle. "Well, now that I know you enjoy books, I'll make sure to ask Henry to get you some for your room, ok?"

  "Yay!" Austin happily hugs the book in his hands and Angelica's tail wags. "Well, you two enjoy. I trust you two." You leave and Austin opens up the book again. "Ok, so where did we leave off?" Austin questions, glancing at Angelica. 

  "Oh, oh, right!!" He smiles. "It's the part where Gareth was confessing his love for Hallow! Who'd of thought Gareth, a butler, would fall for a princess, hm~" Austin chuckles then looks at one of the book shelves after hearing a low creak noise. "Oh?"

  Austin puts a bookmark in his book then closes it, placing it on the little table beside his chair. He gets up and goes over to the bookshelf, look around it. "What was that?"

  Angelica hops off her little seat and rushes over then starts to bark, finding a crack a little behind the bookshelf.

  Austin looks at her and goes down to the floor where it was, feeling cold air come from it. "Something's behind this bookshelf, Angelica!" He gasps and looks at her. Her tail wags in excitement at the new adventure that was forming.

  Austin goes to the side of the bookshelf and tries to move it. "A-almost got it!" He says but stops, out of breath. He pouts then looks at the bookshelf, seeing it didn't even more. "W-wha?! I could have sworn I did something to it!" He pouts then looks at Angelica who covered her face with her paw. "Oh, shush. Maybe there's a book that opens it? Oh, like is Mystero's Mysteries!" He gasps. "That's a good book, I should read it to you some time! Now, let's find that book!!"

  Austin moves every book around, one by one. His curiosity and excitement for adventure and mystery blocked out the fact that maybe he shouldn't be prying in other people's stuff. Oh well, he'll find out soon enough.

  He pulls back an all black book with golden designs on it and golden words that said 'Sinners' in cursive. "sinners?" He questions, confused and the bookshelf moves, revealing a room.

  Austin's eyes widen. "Y... Y/n...?" He looks around the room, seeing pictures and paintings of you everywhere. Angelica whines, feeling a little creeped out too. "Who's room is this...?" He walks over to one of the paintings, seeing a name at the bottom right of it that said 'Henry Fantain.'

  "This must have been before they decided to get married..." He mumbles, looking at Angelica who nods in agreement. 

  "Why would he have a room like this...? Y/n's his so why would he even need it...? Also, it's... Disturbing. Everywhere I look, I just see one person! I-it's like I'm being watched in every direction!"

  Austin tense up when he hears someone clear their throat. He quickly turns around and sees Henry. "U-uh, M-Mr. L/n!" "Austin." He folds his arms and frowns in disappointment. "Why are you in my stuff?" 

  "C-curiosity g-got the best of me, I-I'm sorry." He looks down in shame. "Get out." Henry says in a dark voice and Austin gulps since he was scared. He goes to leave but Henry grabs his arm, looking down at Austin. "Don't tell a soul, understand? Please, Y/n's my everything." 

  Austin looks at Henry's eyes, seeing fear in them even though he kept a calm expression. "Y-yes, sir." "Thank you." He lets go of Austin and Austin rushes out with the bookshelf closing behind him. After that, he ran to his room to hide with Angelica. 

  Henry, on the other hand, stood there in his quiet room. He stared at the wall in front of him. He felt scared. He never told you the truth... He kept a secret from you, something he promised you he'd never do... He did it and it's scary to him. All that trust you have in him could easily be swept out the door if you found out. Maybe he should tell you? Maybe he should show you this room?

  What would you say? What would you do?

  Henry gulps. "S-Shane, I'm scared...." He chokes out, feeling tears form in his eyes. "W-what if Austin tells...? I can't hate the boy for finding this room... Any kid would be curious... And such a caring child would be worried enough to spill it..."

  Henry sits down, unable to stand from his weak legs. "F-for now, I just need to calm down and hope for the best... I'll have to tell her eventually, but until then... Let's just hope Austin can keep quiet for me..."
