5 Years Later

"Babe, did you get the bag out of the car?"

"You said to leave it for you, so I did."

Tae looked at Jin and shook his head. They'd been together for three years. Not everything was perfect. They argued a lot during the first two years. Time scheduling and conflicts of interest rose up numerous times in their arguments, but they managed to look over the negative and see the positive in each other. Jin had moved out during the second year and they'd taken a brief hiatus from one another, but they couldn't stay away long and were back together before either realized. Tae turned to Jin and held out his hand for the keys.

"I'll get it," Jin said, approaching Tae. "Besides, your parents are coming to visit and I want to make sure you're as relaxed as you can be."

Tae's parents visiting was the main topic of discussion for the last few months. Tae was stressed and Jin was trying his best to calm his boyfriend.

"They're so traditional, it's crazy," Tae said, looking at Jin.

"It'll be okay. They're your parents. If you want them to love me then you have to show your love for me."

Jin was nervous. This was the first time he was meeting Tae's parents. They were awfully busy and in the five years of dating Tae, they never asked about him. Maybe they didn't like him. Tae tried to comfort him and let him know that his parents were just that way, but it didn't hurt any less.

"I love you, and they will too," Tae said, pulling Jin close. Jin placed a soft kiss on his lips.

"I love you too," Jin said, relishing Tae's touch.

"Get a room," a familiar voice filled their ears.

Tae turned around as Jimin came into view. Dressed in a light washed denim jacket, with dark navy skinny jeans and a pair of converse shoes and a silk textured white shirt that clung to his chest, Jimin looked as if he were going out for a night on the town.

"Well, don't you look put together," Jin teased, noticing a bag in Jimin's hand.

"How have you been?" Tae asked as Jin took the bag from Jimin.

"I've been better," Jimin said looking around the house. "I was just stopping by because I hadn't seen you in a while."

Tae smiled and ushered Jimin in.

"Are you hungry?" Jin asked, "I'm starting dinner in a few, but I can whip you up something really fast."

"I'm okay, I'm just stopping by to see how you two were doing."

"Never better," Jin teased, smiling as he continued to put things away in the kitchen.

"So what's up?" Tae asked.

"He asked me to marry him."

Tae froze and blinked a few times. Jimin gave him an expectant look waiting for him to say something.

"What did you say?" Tae asked.

"That's the thing, I kinda freaked out and drove over here."

"You didn't give him an answer? Jimin, you obviously love and care about him. What's stopping you from marrying him? You said it yourself, you couldn't see yourself with anyone else."

"I know I know, but when he asked it caught me off guard and I went blank."

"What are you scared of?"
