"Do you want to know the gender?" The nurse asked. "umm..yeah." skye said softly. "okay..you will be having a beutiful baby...boy!" the nurse said excitedly. I clapped my hands like a little kid and soon I felt a tear roll down my cheek. "Chase , baby, were having a boy!" Skye squealed. I nodded and helped her off of the bed. She wiped the tears off my cheeks and kissed me.
We walked up the driveway to our house and I unlocked the door. Skye turned around and started back towards the car. "What are you doing?" I asked her, highly confused. "Let's go shopping. Clothes, car seat, crib, all the good stuff!" She said with a grin from ear to ear. "Okay." I said quietly and relocked the door.
I drove down the road and pulled into the mall parking lot. Skye hopped out immediately, dragging me along with her. "Let's go, they are having a sale!" We walked into some random store and Skye went back to the baby section. I found a car seat with motorcycles and racecars on it, I liked it, so i showed it to Skye. "That's adorable chase! I live it. " she nodded and put one into the cart. She held up a bunch of different baby clothes ranging from dinosaurs to 'daddy's boy' and threw every single one into the cart. They all were different sizes. "Next up, cribs!" She said marking clothes and car seat off of her list. I walked over to the crib section and one immediately caught my eye. For being a 19 year old, soon to be father, I was marking up some pretty good brownie points with my lady. I was feeling like a father already. "I like this one Skye." I said pointing to a dark brown circle crib. "Chase, that's really expensive." She said with a sigh. "I know. I have the money baby, don't worry." I shook my head and helped her pay for everything. The people that worked there helped us get the crib into the car and everything else and we drove home.
I grabbed the set of nails and my screwdriver and put the pieces of this stupid crib together according to the directions. I invited Skye's dad over to help me. We haven't talked in forever so it will be nice to see Joe. I heard a knick at the door and hopped up to go get it before Skye could try to get up. I opened the door and there stood Channing. "Hey man, what's going on?" He looked pretty worried. "I...I.. I think I got Alyssa pregnant."
