Forbidden love

Chase was shocked. He didn't expect me to say that but him not saying anything was making me nervous, so I broke the silence 

T: It's fine if you don't like me back, I understand-

C: I- I like you too...

This came as a shock to me. I would've never thought such a dashing German Shepherd could like a mouse like me. We were both silent for a while until he decided to break the silence by asking me if I was hungry and wanted to get something to eat. Not wanting to keep things awkward, I said yes and followed him to the food fry stand.

T: So

C: ?

T: Do you really like me or are you playing a joke?

C: I really like you. From the second I saw you, I knew you were the one

T: o-oh...

C: Are you okay?

T: Yeah, it's just I knew you were the one when I saw you too

C: I guess that means we're meant to be 

T: Yeah maybe

A little while later, my fries were ready, and we walked around playing some games. Chase won me a potato stuffy from shoot out the star. Once it was getting late, Ryder came to pick up Chase to take him home. 

Before they left, I asked Ryder if Chase and I could live together, since we were both in love. He didn't even give it a thought before saying a mouse could never be with a dog and rode off with Chase.

I didn't think I would see him again until I noticed something.
