[KAGAMI]

"Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!"

My entire body's sweating like I have just taken a bath with my clothes on, where in reality is that I have not bathed yet.

There's still plenty of cleaning that needs to be done around the house. And being the lazy bum that I am, I haven't even done half of it.

I was hastily wiping the windows when my phone received another notification. I jumped towards the coffee table for my phone and instantly read the message.

It was from my cousin.

The whole reason why I'm cleaning in the first place.

"Yo gorilla kun! I'm out the airport now! Can't wait to see you!"

She sent that message to me along with a photo of her doing the finger V-peace sign. She was in some sort of vehicle, which I guess would be a cab.

Suddenly, my blood rushed throughout my veins and I could feel the adrenaline kicked into me.

I fastened my pace, didn't even wiped the windows that well. Swept the floor, and all the cleaning that I was supposed to do.

Although I'm very quite sure that I didn't do a good job.

"It's not my fault I woke up late and started cram cleaning," I mumbled to myself.

To be honest, I'm kind of really annoyed at what's happening. First I moved here from America and now my lame excuse for a cousin is moving here too?

I swear that brat. She always likes to follow me around. Wherever I go, she goes. Whatever I do, she does it too.

When she learned how I love playing basketball, she suddenly got into it too.

At first it was flattering. She probably idolizes me that much to the extent that she actually does things I do. But the more it happens, the more annoying it gets.

Like seriously? Can't I live in peace?!

I dropped my ass on the ground and decided to turn on the tv to keep my mind of the stress I'm having right now.

I'm so pissed off I ended up watching wrestling and rooting for whoever's dominating the match.

This was supposed to be a relaxing Saturday but there I was, cleaning. And for who?

For a family relative I haven't seen in a while.

How irritating.

[KURUMI]

I got off the cab, smiling at the driver and thanking him for the ride.

I'm finally here. I thought to myself then deeply inhaled, and exhaled with another smile.

Things really are different in Japan now.

I spent my life in America for how many years that I've forgotten a lot of things about this country.

But boy am I glad to be back.

I picked up my luggage, preparing myself to move when it finally hit me... I was in an unfamiliar place... with an unfamiliar surroundings.. filled with full of other unfamiliarities.

God darn it.

I'm lost.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket to call for my cousin but I never got an answer even after three more attempts.

I frowned and puffed my cheeks out of annoyance.

Damn you Taiga!

Luckily, I saw a bulletin board that had the illustration of the town. I was hoping it would help me locate the house I was looking for.

Good thing Kagami gave me his house number.

But that's the only thing I had.

Even the map on the board was useless.

But then again, I never was good at reading maps. Or solving math equations.

I was so stressed out by the fact that I have no idea where to go. I felt my tears coming up. I did my best to stop myself from crying.

What kind of girl cries over being lost??

Well probably a lot. But not me. I'm not that type of girl.

"Uhm--"

Out of nowhere I heard a voice crept up from somewhere. I shivered in shock and almost flinched when I realized someone was actually standing behind me.

"Geezaaaas!" I shrieked, my blood flow returning to normal.

After one heavy sigh of relief, I chuckled. "Don't scare me like that."

So many questions were in my head.

Who was this guy?

Where did he come from?

Why didn't I notice him coming up to me?

Is this a real human being?

My train of thought was disturbed when he spoke again. He had that monotonous tone in him, and his face matched with his voice perfectly well.

"You seem to be in trouble. Can I help you?" He said. His voice was rather calming actually so it wasn't hard to feel comfortable with him.

Although, he does seem familiar.

Then again, all asians look familiar.

"Do you happen to know where this house is?"

He seemed to be a good candidate to ask since he looked like he's very familiar with the place.. so I guess it's safe to ask him.

"As a matter of fact I do," he said plainly. "I'm about to head there right now," he added.

Upon hearing that, I couldn't help but smile ear to ear. I was so relieved I was about to give him a hug. I spread my arms open and was about to leap towards him but...

"Huh?"

He was gone.

Dafuq???!

"Follow me please."

I flinched in surprise when I heard his voice again, but this time he was in a different spot.

My eyes glanced to where he was seconds ago, then to where he was standing now, then back to where he was seconds ago, and then to where he was standing now.

H-how did h-he...

The hair on the back of my neck rose. I was so dumbfounded... confused.

I-is he a ghost?

I could feel myself going extremely pale with the thought that he must be a ghost.

"This way," he said again, with the same monotonous voice and stoic face.

There's no way he's a ghost. I decided to shrug it off and laughed at myself for even thinking of something so weird.

He began walking and turned left when we reached a corner. I continued to follow him until he finally stopped.

"We're here," he said as he faced me. "This is the house you're looking for," he continued, pointing to the house in front of us.

I wanted to look at the house but my eyes chose to remain on this weird icy-blue haired human being. I had this weird thinking that if I blink, he'd just disappear again.

"Please do not stare at me," he said as he faced the house again, moving his finger towards the doorbell.

I didn't do it of course. My eyes remained staring at him...

Well... until the door opened.
