I've Lost and I Won

PROLOGUE

“NIKO!” I shouted, calling the person waiting for me under the big tree in the corner of a park here in Laguna.

I happily waved my hand in the air as I walk close to him. He gave me a smile but... His eyes doesn't show any emotions.

My smile faded away when I noticed what's wrong. I've known him too well.

“May problema ka ba? I know you're smile is not sincere like before.” I worriedly said.

His smile slowly faded hanggang sa naging cold ang emotions niya na hindi ko naman pinansin.

I shaked my head and sigh “Anyways, look!” excited kong sabi saka may kinuha ako sa bag. “Lend me your hand.” I paused. I sneakily hand him over the small envelope na kinuha ko sa bag ko.

He opened the envelope and took out the Pregnancy Test na nilagay ko sa loob. His eyes opened wide and unbelievably gave me a look.

Nagtataka man, pilit akong ngumiti and approached him to look for the result. When he looked at the result, he became speechless.

“Babe, w-we're having a baby..” I softly said and smiled when he looked at me.

Nabigla ako nang naiinis siya bumuntong hininga saka hinawakan ako sa magkabilang balikat. Naguguluhan kong sinusundan ang mukha niyang nagpipigil ng inis while he's shaking his head.

I was about to talk pero naunahan na niya ako, “Listen up, let's get this straight alright? Hindi ako ang bumuntis sa'yo, hindi ako ang Tatay ng nasa tiyan mo.”

I froze to what I heard. But I still force myseld to talk, “T-that can't be? I-i saw it was y-you.. Besides, wala naman akong iba? S-so how..?” Nauutal kong tanong. I can feel my eyes watering, any moment now, a tear will fall from my eyes.

“You were drugged, okay?! And plus, I have someone else that I now like. I'm sorry I cheated, and I can't lose the woman that I love after you. Let's break up.” he said and patabog na binitawan ang magkabila kong braso.

Umiling-iling ako, “After me?! Cheated?! Sorry?? Are you worth forgiving for?! And drugged?! What the fuck Niko!! You knew and you never told me before—”

“Sinabi ko na ngayon and I think it's enough, now please leave me alone. Get a new life.”
