I hit the snooz button quickly, not wanting to wake the creature couple  sleeping in the next room.

I get up and turn off my alarm completely(the last thing I wanted was the hungover fool to smash my alarm clock again)

I then tiptoe to the bathroom for a quick shower and do my daily routine then put on my brand new uniform because today was my first day of school since we moved.  Looking in the mirror, I analyzed myself from head to toe. I had chocolate coloured skin ( when it wasn't black or blue) with striking Hazel eyes, which I think were my only best feature. I had pink plumped lips and curly brown hair.

My uniform was light blue and black tie with a blue shirt and black blazer with either a black skirt or trousers. I had black socks on with some flat shoes that i got from primark.

Tiredly, I walked downstairs to make a full English breakfast for my so-called Father and mother then kept it in the oven alongside a note until he came downstairs. After I finished washing up, I went to my to my room to pack my things as quickly as possible so that I could avoid running into the fucktard at all costs.
In my head I made a checklist of all things that I needed:
Pencil case. Check.
Books. Check.
Notepad. Cheak.
Phone. Cheak.
P.E kit. Check.
Mirror. Check.
And shool adress. Cheak.

I have to leave super early because i have to walk and I didn't know where it was and my 'dad' won't take me in his car.

As  I walked outside the house and down the road I made my way to school briskly not liking the idea of being late and having to walk in  class were all eyes are on me. Which brings me to the plan of my year at Jackson's High Academy:
1) to stay invisible to every one
2) to not talk or try make any conversation with anyone
3) to not make any friends
4) to not get into trouble
And the most importantly
6) TO STAY SILENT!!!

I was reminded everyday by my parents that I "Needed to keep my mouth shut cos we don't need the police snooping in our business and if that fateful day ever came then your mother and I will kill you without a trace." Often said by my father. That has been my mantra that has kept me from going 6ft under and I will gladly stick to it.

But as I walked up towards the gates I had a gut renching feelin that this year wasn't going to run smoothly as hoped and my mantra wasn't going to help.
