The day started off like every morning. Dr. Marley was preparing for the check of the forests in India.
Sher was out catching food and relaxing on the warm rocks. Fish were easier to catch after the rain from the previous night.
" Jenna is everything ready?
" Yes the charts, binoculars, and cameras are all accounted Dr.Marley."
"Wonderful tell Mark to load them into the Jeep.
"Yes sir.Sher had gotten five birds, ten fish, and two of somewhat of a rodent. She tied them to her clothing and ran to the grotto. Sher ripped into a her favorite, one of the rodents. By the time she had finished two legs the others were done with their fish and birds. Sher tied up the rest and they all got a drink from the river. Time to move.
Muddy. Sticky. Wet. Humid. That's how Dr.Marley and his crew described the path to the forest. The sound of the Jeep rolling up to the forest and the equipment rattling in the back made it hard to concentrate on the map. Eventually they got lost.
Sher and the streak were running through the wet forest and jumping over fallen trees. The leader growled to stop. And that's what they did. They were in the first spot where Sher meet the streak. Four year old Sher had been lost for hours. She was tired, wet, scared, and alone. It was getting dark fast. Then she saw something move in what little light that was left. The leader of the streak came to her. Sher was not afraid. No she was surprisingly relieved. Sher ran up and hugged the leader, who rejected it in no way. She had recently lost her cub and saw Sher as one. Sher was now living with them. Just like a mother tiger would teach a cub, she tought Sher to hunt to be a silent killer. To be a tiger.
